Black Tie/White Hot [D5 LE, Wild Ride... in motion]

[Expecting!]

The Wild Ride hover-trundled along a wild stretch of shoreline outside the city proper, the barge's antigrav field whipping up strange looking wavelets on the surface of the seawater beneath its hull. Bright points of light glowed out from the upper deck through the weather deflector shields. Tonight, Shelzais's floating home was the site of a somewhat different kind of party.

The tattooed woman had indicated formal dress would be appropriate for the guests, and as hostess Shelzy decided to follow suit. Of course, there was Sith formal and normal-people formal, and the former involved a lot more chains and armor plates and the like. Shel went for the non-Sith option, a daring gown made of sheer fabric with silvery beading branching across the skirt and bodice like threads of ice on a windowpane. Leeba's band (two Rodians and an elderly Chadra-fan who was amazing on his modified keyboard instrument) were playing softly in the background as the guests arrived.

A somewhat conspicuous guest arrived somewhat early on. He was not dressed for a party to so say. He had his impressive armor on under a finely-made black cloak. The coordinates he had been given led him to this party... but now he was confronted with the mystery of finding 'the Dragon'.

[Alister Dravvad]

This was definitely not where Alister had been thinking dinner would be hosted. Not in the least. The owner of this barge was a sith after all. Even if she wasn't all that good of a sith.

Still he was here and in formal clothing, waiting for whomever he was expecting to arrive.

[Lord Tenebrous]

Today sounded like a good day to chill out at one of Shel's parties, so Shaisha put on a elegant one-piece with a fancy cape to dress it up, and her hair pulled back in a braided bun.

Of course, she was not without her lightsabers, as always.

[Alister Dravvad]

Well, this was certainly turning into a interesting cast of characters. Lord Tenebrous received a polite nod as she arrived at the scene.

Though Alister as of yet didn't approach, instead making his way across the room towards the bar. A glass of wine while he waited seemed a fine idea.

[Shelzais Sek]

Shelzais greeted each arriving guest with what was, for her, a rather restrained and decorous welcome. She'd let the party's mystery patron set the tone for the night. Payment was on delivery, after all.

But that didn't mean she couldn't enjoy herself--as evidenced by the black cigarillo in the slender, crystal-decorated holder she wielded artistically in one hand, trailing purplish smoke that had a faint, pleasantly dizzying effect should one happen to get a whiff of it.

"Playing cultured hostess this evening?" Alister asked as wine glass in hand he walked back towards Shelzais. It seemed a bit of a odd roll for the woman, but he was pretty sure she could pull it off. If she didn't get high as a kite off whatever it was she was smoking.

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington arrives at the exclusive party on the Wild Ride barge once again. He offers greetings to everyone. He is wearing his fedora again. He tips his hat and greets Shel. "Good evening lady Sek. Looks like my hat is appropriate party apparel this time." He says with a smile.

"Good evening Doctor Dravvad." He greets the my good doctor.

[Dapper Dog]

It is a packed with people enjoying the music and the music, a massive throng of folks that one could lost in if they so wished at least for an evening. The music is up tempo modern synth pop with a heavy cantina influence.

Standing at the bar was a long dark-haired woman with a sleek red dress and a tattoo of a colorful serpent or dragon on her shoulder; she was tapping away at her comm device as she took sips of her drink.

Meanwhile Alister was directed to the VIP area where a trio of gentlemen, all human male of middling age, in nice suits were seated. A twi’lek woman danced around on a small stage as they engaged in conversation.

They stop once he entered.

Elsewhere at the entrance a transport lets out a few armored mercenaries led by one in dark armor. They meandered through the party without a distinct destination in mind.

Sylvain after mingling for a while noticed the woman with a dragon tattoo on her arm. Seeing no other likely candidate for the title of 'Dragon' he made his way subtly over to her at the bar and moved in beside her at a comfortable but easily noticeable distance.

[Alister Dravvad]

"Ah, it seems I must be departing." Alister murmured as someone arrived to guide him to the VIP section. "My apologies for the short stay, Madam Sek. Mister Thalalas." He gave the pair a short bow before making his way to the VIP section.

"Gentlemen." He greeted the trio, with a polite nod as he arrived. He'd noticed the dragon woman by the bar, but if this was were he was supposed to be.

"Oh, I'm always playing something, master Dravvad," Shelzais purred with a welcoming grin. "Do make yourself comfortable. I think someone's looking for you."

"Oh, hello there." Caught in the middle of taking a delicate puff, she gives him a little wave of her cigarra in its holder, wafting purple smoke. "Welcome aboard. If you want to hang your hat and coat, it's just over there..." she gestures with her free hand toward a coat rack minded by a basic-looking servitor droid. It was draped with a wide assortment of coats, cloaks, and, yes, hats that guests had been wearing to resist the cold Ziost winds, but which of course weren't needed in the warm atmosphere inside the barge's weather shielding.

“It goes. Not without setback... But it continues. And you must be ‘CM’?” He asked as he signaled for a drink.

The men look at each other ad then abck to Alister and said, “Welcome, not sure what we are all here for… guess we will find out soon. Name is Baku and that is Welner, and he is Yujo.

“Guess we will find out soon?”

"Alister." The Doctor introduced himself before taking a seat. This certainly was an odd set up, and he really wasnt sure why they had the dancer present either. Maybe she was the cleverman? Doubtful.

"True enough, I guess that was what you three were doing then? Speculating?"

“Setbacks are inevitable,” she said calmly.

“We can assist with the research, but we would require something from you. Sadly we will live in a world where not everything can be traded for free.”

“This is a data spike,” she said placing a thin card on the table, “Once inserted it will do all the work. Get this onto a system on Captain Balmung’s cruiser and we can put our vast resources to work on a cure.”

The dancer gyrates and moves with the song and smiles when she makes eye contact. The men seem equally confused as they look around and then back to the dancer.

Yujo offered his hand and said, “Nice to meet you Alister.”

A serving droid entered and brought drinks for everyone. The droid said, “Courtesy of the host, please enjoy till the last drop.”

"Shel," Shaisha said with a smile as she approached the hostess, casually picking up a drink from the serving droid along the way. A good way to blend in at a party was to hold a drink after all.

"How are you tonight, my favorite host?"

"Alister." The Doctor introduced himself before taking a seat. This certainly was an odd set up, and he really wasnt sure why they had the dancer present either. Maybe she was the cleverman? Doubtful.

"True enough, I guess that was what you three were doing then? Speculating?"

The dancer gyrates and moves with the song and smiles when she makes eye contact. The men seem equally confused as they look around and then back to the dancer.

Yujo offered his hand and said, “Nice to meet you Alister.”

A serving droid entered and brought drinks for everyone. The droid said, “Courtesy of the host, please enjoy till the last drop.”

The handshake was returned, as well as the smile to the dancer. "Well, that's nice at the very least." Alister murmured picking up the drink and giving it a sniff. Maybe he'd be able to identify it.

"So, have you three been here long?"
