She watched the spectacle of melting skin, and then sat down again, in the position she had started. And closed her eyes. After all, that did seem like the natural end of the vision. Though one never knew what the force could bring.

She finds herself laying on the dirty ground near the fire.

The old man is gone but there is a bowl of soup waiting for her, seems warm too.

Of course he's gone. She should've expected as much. She looked around, to see if he left anything behind besides that soup...

... red worm soup, was it?

She smelled it. Dipped a pinky in it and tasted it, wondering if she would even taste it if there were poison in it.

Spicy, while the worm chunks were rubbery but good.

Thankfully she does not feel like she is dying.

Well, she could eat, she supposed. She would finish the bowl, mostly to see if Spindrall would return in the meantime. And if he did not, she would leave, to return back to where the shuttle would take her away from this dead world.
