Five Witches and a Black Knight [Day 0, Early Morning]

[Jun-Tsu Farro]

Time was meaningless in the void of space, Jun-Tsu thought, as she sat aboard Remmington's ship. It was a thought she'd had before. Indeed, anyone who had ever been to space likely thought much the same thing. Traveling from planet to planet truly made one realize how utterly immaterial time was. It would be time for the evening meal in her family's eastern palace, but where she was going, at the center of Empire, it was barely breaking dawn. It would be an adjustment, to be sure, to acclimatize to such an adjustment, but she had long managed such inconveniences.

She folded her hands into her black-clad lap, and continued to stare out at the streaming light of hyperspace. It would still be a while before they reached Ziost, which, Jun-Tsu took as a good thing. Though she tried to hide it, a hint of apprehension rested on her occluded face. It was times like this she was happy for the ceremonial robes and the headdresses, and all the traditional finery she was forced to endure for the sake of a trip to the capital.

In her lap rested a small dark sphere. It's surface perfectly smooth, but which did not shine or reflect in the dim light of the ship. It was like an orb of pure, empty space, nested among the draping folds of Jun-Tsu's robes. She idly rested a hand upon its surface, caressing it.

Fa-Lei sat quietly her eyes closed but she was not sleeping more just listening to the hum of the ship… the universe? One could not say. Her child was asleep, quite at home in the depths of space.

Fa-Lei said softly in the native language of their world, “Something on your mind, honored sister.”

Her finery was less, she wore the veils but she seemed smaller and more reserved. Fa-Lei was never one for finery so it was not out of place.

[Remmington Thalalas]

After piloting the ship for a while, Remmington leaves the final approach to his co-pilot and the computer. He heads back to where the other passengers of the Skidbladnir are. He taps the door before opening it and walking inside. He takes a look around.

"We are approaching Ziost and should be there soon. I left the rest to Verandi. Jun-Tsu, Fa-Lei, how are you doing? There is a little bit of time to rest if you wish." He gives them an update but waits to see if he has walked into a conversation and takes a seat.

With the Farro is was exceptionally difficult to read expressions, how often muted they were due to their training. Jun-Tsu's jaded face peered from her sister, to Remmington. Fa-Lei knew there was something, ever so slight, that did, indeed, rest on Jun-Tsu's mind, but with Ser Thalalas' presence, it would have to wait for another time.

"Zhank you," she said simply to their escort. Her fingers continued to idly dance over the abyssal orb in her lap.

"Und zhank you for bringing uz to Ziozt. Az ewer you prowide zhe needs of our House ewen before being azked."

[Dapper Dog]

Fa-Lei just nodded quietly and smiled under her thin veil and said, “Zhank you, I have never been to Ziost. It is not like ze Korriban, yes?”

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "Do not mention it. I am more than happy to help out. Plus I have business on Ziost as well." His eyes glance at the Void Engine for a moment before he moves on.

He turns his attention to Fa-Lei. "It is my first time being here as well. Really different from Korriban from what I have heard. Despite for the most part being an ice planet, it is considered one of the most beautiful in the Empire and is well known for being a popular tourist trap. I hope you will be okay with the large crowds. Despite this being a business trip, I do want us to have some time to play while we are here."

He says with a warm smile that tries to mask some of the worries he has about this trip. Sith politics and terrorists... yeah... great...

[Jun-Tsu Farro]

"You do not need to vorry about uz, mein Ser. Ve vill be taken care of v'once ve are planet-side. Zhe crowdz vill cause no izzue, sawe perhawps vhen ve are called to zhe towver," Jun-Tsu turned her attention back to the void of space, the draping jewelry of her garb making a faint chiming sound as they rolled over one another.

"Be zafe vhile ve are down zhere. Omens hawe been groving more pointed zhe clozer ve come."

[Dapper Dog]

Fa-Lei agreed with the assessment and added, "Ve… vould be saddened if anything vere to happen to you."

She folded her hands in her lap quietly.

[Jun-Tsu Farro]

There was a faint smirk, barely noticeable, that danced over Jun-Tsu's features before suppressed into her normal stoic expression.

"Vhat are you doing on Ziozt, anyvay? Ve are here for petitioners und to zee zhe zeating of zhe new councilor, but vhat of you? I'we newer known you to be v'one for court politicks? Idle or uthervise."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "Thanks for the warning. Though you do not need the Force to see the storm that we are heading towards. Despite that, where one may see a problem. Others may see an opportunity in disguise."

He nods again and puts on a reassuring smile for Fa-Lei. "I do not wish any harm or ill to come towards you and anyone else I care about either. I will be careful. If you need anything, please do not hesitate to call me and I will come to your aid as soon as I can."

He looks at Jun-Tsu then back to Fa-Lei at the question.

At the silence that passed between them, Jun-Tsu simply continued on, "I zuppose it matterz not. Ztill, zeek us out if you reqvire. Mein sisterz vill be accompanying me for much of mein stay. I azzume you can zpare zhem, at leazt a bit. I vill need zhere council az vell."

[Dapper Dog]

Fa-Lei agreed at those words and then turned her focus to Remington.

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "Thanks for your offer. I will be sure to call upon your help. As for me, there are a couple of things that I am a little concerned about. This Dread group and Eagle. I really have no love for terrorists. Especially after all the stuff that happened on Nar Shaddaa."

He smiles again. "It eases me to know that you are here for me too."

[Dapper Dog]

"Dread group?" Fa-Lei asked tentatively.

[Jun-Tsu Farro]

Beneath her masked headdress, Jun-Tsu's eyes narrowed slightly in contemplative assessment rather than judgement. She, like her sister, had not heard anything of these terrorists, beyond what little Rem had told them of his encounter with the Eagle's Children. The witch was content and aware of the dangers she and her family faced from the dark forces at work. Such powers were ever present for the Farro, but more....corporeal threats. Those worried her slightly more.

[Remmington Thalalas]

"There is some group that apparently worship the Dread Masters of old. I do not know much of them myself. I really only heard of the name. They apparently have a following on Ziost. I have no idea on what their actual position is. Some people think they are some kind of cult." Remmington answers Fa-Lei.

He sighs before looking back to Jun-Tsu. "My apologies. I was not really trying to hide anything from you two. I just didn't want you to worry about me. You will both have a lot to worry about with the Dark Council stuff going on."

[Jun-Tsu Farro]

"Zhat iz of little conseqvence. Vhat vill truly be of import iz vhat happenz behind zhe weil of zuch ewents. Zhe zigns already point to shadowz mowving zhrough zhe darkness. Vhat better time to enact plots zhan vhen all eyez turn elzevhere."

She looked between the both of them. "Zhere iz danger enough about for all of uz. By zhe pover of zhe Umbră-Ușoară, may ve prowail ower zhose zhat vish uz dead. May ve embody zhe vill of zhe Dark Side, und vork ewer for itz aimz."

She recited the little prayer and bowed her head. "Vhen zhere iz nozhing elze to trust, truzt in zhe dark light of zhe Force."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "We will have to do what we must. I trust in the Dark Side and in you both. We shall prevail and become stronger from it."

[Dapper Dog]

Fa-Lei nodded solemnly at her sister's wisdom.

[Jun-Tsu Farro]

"Vhat zhat I could be happy upon mein first trip to Ziost, und to zit in zhe prezence of zhe emperor. Instead, I am nozhing but apprehenzive to all the dread piling around uz."

She raised an alabaster hand to her forehead, resting the delicate fingertips there. With a deep breath the witch centered herself. "Vhat vill be, has already been laid out before uz."
