It was rather late to do some research. But then that was all the better for doing the kind of research you didn't want others to know about. Fewer people around to look over your shoulder, at least. Xyll's position as the Emperor's Witness should hopefully get her full access to the archives, and she presented herself for entry.
Her now freed apprentice should be there too; just in case this would require a bit more knowledge when it came to technology, rather than simply reading. Besides, she would need to have words with Mira anyhow. An apprentice boiling over with hatred and resentment was good, but only if it was properly molded.

OOC: Research will take 6 hours to complete each success can reduce that time by an hour and advantage can give more insight; assuming the top is the ritual or the Exile then it will be daunting Lore or Computers.
GM will flip destiny.

OOC: Round down to 1 slot, and not much progress is made there really is little mention of the Exile outside any sources that mention the Sith Triumvirate.

"Ah!" she pushed herself away from the console in frustration, before kicking it.
"Well," she said after a moment, "How is it going over there?"
She realized of course, that making Mira work while still missing a hand, was perhaps somewhat cruel. But then, she was sith, and Mira *had* screwed up. At least she'd sent her to a physician earlier earlier in the evening to get the worst of her injuries taken care of. One did try to ensure one's apprentices were taken care of, after all. Besides, this gave them the opportunity to talk.
(I assume Xyll would've set her apprentice on the same task, but I also assume it's not kosher to have her roll separately?)

Mira was not having much luck either and said, "I am not finding anything on this stupid Exile."

"You are angry," she said, stating the obvious, and something that was rather hypocritical given she had just kicked the sheen off her own console.
"Do you resent me?"

“You didn’t take my hand, that witch did…” she hissed back.

"Yes, she did," Xyll said, nurturing that anger, shaping it, "But I sent you. It was I who thought you were ready for the challenge."

“Guess you were wrong, oh well maybe next time,” she said flippantly.
“What does not kill you, well now you get another chance to kill it.”

She chuckled.
"Killing her now would be a waste. But who knows, apprentice? Maybe one day you will get to snuff the life from her. Keep that hatred burning and it will make you stronger. But as you've seen, one should not get ahead of oneself."

“Well one day isn’t today so I am not too worried, what is the plan now, my Master?” she asked.

"The plan is to return and find the knowledge I need. Someone made a point of hiding it, and that someone may have what I truly need. But time may be running out. Did you manage to secure us an escape plan yet?"

"What if there is no solution?"
On the question of escape she added, "I got a ship lined up, they won't ask questions but they won't do it for free either."

"Visions and fools may say otherwise, but there is *always* a solution," she said, "Even if it won't get me all the way to where I was. If this does not pan out... there is always the *other* option."
She then considered the matter of a ship for a moment.
"How much do they want?"

"Other option?" she asked. "They want 500 creds for the service."

"Nothing you need concern yourself with just yet," she said. "Tell them they can have their 500 credits... *if* we actually make use of it. I will not pay for their service if I don't actually get to use it."

Mira shrugged and said, "Uhuh."
