[Tyr]

This time Tyr nodded. "I suppose we knew what we were getting ourselves into."

[Xal Kimlya]

"It was inevitable." he nodded.

[Tyr]

"Hopefully what will come out of it will be better." He wasn't sure what better meant, exactly.

[Xal Kimlya]

"Maybe. But, not for everyone." He stood up and walked up to Tyr. "Thank you, for coming for me."

[Tyr]

Reaching for the arkanian, "you weren't answering your comm, again." Affection in his rough voice belied the simplicity of the words.

[Xal Kimlya]

"I'm sorry. I haven't felt like myself." For the first time, there was a hint of a smile.

[Tyr]

Tyr chuckled softly and pulled Xal into a furry embrace.

[Xal Kimlya]

He was slow to respond, but he soon hugged him tight. Looking up, he pulled Tyr down into a kiss.

[Tyr]

Pleasantly surprised, Tyr hugged Xal tighter and returned the kiss.

[Xal Kimlya]

"I think I should lie down." he murmured. "I don't think I can sleep, but I am tired."

[Tyr]

“Use my bed. I’ll have Gerald set up one of the other rooms for you later,” the shistavanen still held Xal close.

[Xal Kimlya]

He didn't let go, either. Xal hugged tighter.

"This is nice, too."

[Tyr]

“Why not both?” he offered. Tyr kept one arm around Xal, gently urging him in the direction of his quarters.

[Xal Kimlya]

"I'd follow you anywhere." he smiled.

[Tyr]

Tyr walked them back to his quarters. Tossing himself down on the bed, he opened his arms to invite Xal to join him.

[Xal Kimlya]

Exhausted, Xal crawled into Tyr's arms, smiling contentedly.

[Tyr]

The shistavanen wrapped his arms around Xal, his claws combing gently through the arkanian’s silver hair.

[Xal Kimlya]

He closed his eyes and enjoyed the affection. He just rested like that, though Tyr could tell Xal wasn't asleep.

[Tyr]

Tyr generally resented such idleness, it was boring. His thoughts were boring. But he held Xal close and listened to the arkanian breathing, and knew Xal would struggle with what happened for a long time to come. So he didn’t say anything, he just stroked the other man’s hair.

[Xal Kimlya]

Xal hugged him tight.
