First Rule of Massassi Club
Event Type: Bex Company, Side Event
Influence Cost: None
Participants: Unlimited
Timeslots: Early Night

Description: The Cantina is particularly rowdy tonight, Imperial soldiers and Massassi warriors have filled the building with aggression, intoxication, and recklessness. Ensign Pierce is doing his best to keep the peace, but something is going to give… will it be violence and savagery or the discipline and professionalism of the Imperial Armed Forces?

Just remember the first rule of Massassi Fight Club.

Rules: Players have one of three choices to make they can, they can do nothing and just keep to themselves, they can try and keep things calm with Ensign Pierce, or they can spur the Massassi to get violent.

Choices

Option 1 – Just here for Drinks: Make an average Cool check, if successful then the player has avoided getting entangled in the events at hand. If they fail the check, they suffer 2 strain from dealing with the stress of both sides trying to drag them into the argument.

Option 2 – Disciplined Soldiers: The Massassi are no better than beasts and need a strong example of Imperial Discipline and professionalism, make a Leadership or Discipline check at Average. Failure on the check means the player suffers 3 strain from getting drug into a violent confrontation.

Option 3 – Crush your Enemies: The Massassi like to fight, might as well join in on the fun and blow off some steam. The player makes a Resilience or Brawl check at Average, failing the check means the player fails to show how tough they are to the Massassi and gets a meaty fist or boot for their troubles and suffers 4 strain, but the Massassi share their blood wine with the weakling.

Every two players that Succeed with Option 1 grant a Peace point. Every player that succeeds with Option 2 also grants a Peace point. If a player chooses Option 3 they add a Fight point. At the end of the event the totals will dictate how the night ends up either loud and peacefully or loud and violent.

If a Despair is rolled grant a point to the opposite side, even if successful. If a Triumph is rolled double the points added to their side. Every two advantage add a boost die to the next roll and every two threat add a setback die to the next roll.

Rewards/Outcome: Rewards will be revealed at the conclusion of the event.

You know who else liked fighting? Tyr. And since the peace accord, real fights had been in short supply, Tyr didn't count the pit fights at his master's behest the real thing. So when the punches started flying, the large shistavenen was in there rolling with the best of them. He managed to land a few decent blows on the massassi warriors, knocking one of them back into a table. The table and the drinks on it went flying...

Shelzais knocked back another shot of harsh locally-made spirits. "Really, boys and girls? Our great Emperor's first night back among us, and you all want to spend it swallowing your own teeth?" Some layer of irony might have underlain her seductive smile, but the bottle she offered around was honest enough. "I can think of better ways to wake up with a headache tomorrow."

Roll result: success! 1 Peace Point.

Won't bother with spending the Force pips--don't need extra sux, so no need to try calming people down with DS emotions.

by Col. Hala Moraal
Hala received the alert that a fight had broken out. Leaving the Sith party, somewhat grateful for the excuse to, she made her way to a local security substation. Gathering a small squad of security officers and ground transport, they sped towards the confrontation. The officers set up a cordon around the cantina and Hala leaned around the door frame to check if she saw any stray blaster bolts from intoxicated soldiers. Seeing none, she stepped through and turned up the gain on the small amplifiers embedded in her clothing. She'd never been a DI before, but she didn't need to be.

"Imperial troopers, stand down. Anyone who turns themselves in to security outside will receive administrative punishment. Anyone who remains, that I still have to process, will be have been involved in a security alert during a gathering of the Dark Council Aspirants. This will guarantee you, at minimum, an Article 15. You have 5 minutes to comply with security forces."

After the party, Lucinia had decided to have a brief stop to have a quiet drink. Something to steady her nerves after so much time being required to be social. She managed to achieve half of that.

As the arguments grew louder around her, her teeth clenched. Her jaw tightened. Slender fingers tightened around her glass; she only just restrained herself from snapping it.

Finally, Lucinia turned, tilting her chin upwards as she regarded the boisterous Massassi. She did not say a word; instead, she just met the eyes of each and every one, one at a time, her own green eyes stern and disapproving, unwavering in the face of aggression. Her disapproving glare seemed to have some effect in quelling the growing unrest.

(( http://orokos.com/roll/732204 0 successes, 3 advantages))

The rep quietly hands over a case of definitely not weapons to a completely legitimate buyer
"Don't worry, I can't calm this down."

Putting on her winning smile she addresses the crowd at large.

Her speech is loud, passionate, witty and speaks directly to their patriotism......

But in the confusion absolutely nobody hears it except her entourage who dutifully burst into applause

"....Well that just pi-"
And then a stray cup catches her on the cheek and she storms out.

Ha! This planet might not be as bad as he previously assumed!

Imperials were too much sticks in the mud, they needed to release the pressure and not restrain it...also such friendy fights helped forge bonds!

Attached to the Good Colonel, the Mandalorian was a picture of Imperial Discipline and Decorum. Steely eyed beneath his helmet, he moved through the gathered troops and Massassi, staring each one down. Even if he wasn't directly intimidating them, there was a certain cool feeling about him.

"Troo-pers! You all heard the Colonel! If I need to, I'll haul your hides back myself on the end of a grapnel line! Do you get me!"

EN1 - Massassi Fight Club - Disciplined Soldiers (Willpower 3, Discipline 0, 1 boost from previous roller, destiny flip, average difficulty, first event roll upgrade from suspicion): 1eP+2eA+1eB+1eC+1eD 1 success, 5 advantage

One sometimes followed high society drinking, with low society drinking. Though Xyll was not really drinking. Hard to, with all of these, what were these creatures again? Ah yes, she remembered now. She'd seen them before. Massassi. Primitive beasts. Useful, if only they could be taught to control themselves better.

The small white-haired girl walked in between the groups on her way to the bar; when one of the creatures snarled at her. She was hardly intimidated by such theatrics. She simply stopped, turned, and stared at him until he backed down. Then she stared at his friends; sure that they too, would back down.

Discipline, upgrade from suspicion: 3eP+1eA+1eD+1eC 2 successes, 1 Triumph

2 peace points due to triumph (note, I think I rolled before Tyber, so I suppose his boosts go to the next person. Or not?

by Dino Brado
This wasn't exactly the kind of place that Dino had in mind when Mahr had suggested to unwind. Things seemed to be taking an interesting turn when a bunch of Massassi seem to be ready to start a fight...but already there are Imperials shouting to end it.

"I suppose it wouldn't have been much of a fight anyway" Dino replies with a sigh, a bit too loud for an agitated Massassi close to him. Spurned, the Massassi pulls out his chair from the bar and turns to smash it against Dino's back.

First Rule of Massassi Club-Average Resilience: 1eP+6eA+2eD 6 successes, 1 advantage, 1 Triumph

EDIT: First Rule of Massassi Club-Swap a difficulty die for a challenge: 1eC 2 failures

(4 successes, 1 advantage, triumph)

The chair splinters and send the Massassi stumbling back, clutching a broken wrist. Dino shakes his head, unfazed by the blow and continue to sip his drink before turning around."Looks like I was right. Come on Mahr, are you going to keep toying with them?" He calls to his acquaintance.

(2 Fight points, 1 strain healed

by Rax Nam
Rax had dipped into the local drink originally because Jan said it was a good place to find something, and with the raging headache that he'd had all day... Well alcohol just happened to be the right maneuver for him.

And then all hell broke out. The Cathar grinned, it was about damn time he got to see some action, and while coming from more city Cathar stock he wasn't necessarily as automatically ready to fight as one of the more "traditionalist" clans... Well there was one hell of a chance to get some stress unwound.

FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT!: 2eP+1eD+1eC 2 successes
ImageImageImageImage

As the Massassi wheeled back from trying to break his chair over Dino's back, nearly knocking into the Cathar, Rax saw an opportunity. He shifted his feet and slammed his elbow, sending the wounded warrior sailing to a pair of his buddies further wrecking a table. He took a defensive stance and flashed his claws at them, laughing a little bit as his fangs shined in the dim light. "Next!"

1 Fight Point, scot free!

Massassi were tools, just like the military. Garnering their support naturally fit her agenda. She was more of a backroom negotiator than an orator but that did not dissuade her from stepping forward.

She held up her fist, the disdain she had for those still bickering clear on her lips. "Trooper or massassi, know this: you are subjects of the Sith Caste. It is my birthright, like all other Sith, that you kneel and obey. And in exchange, we offer you all glory and purpose."

The woman lowered her hand and tilted her head. "Without subjugation, there would only be chaos."

by Lord Jo'ren Rath
After a few hours of politicking Jo'ren needed to blow off some steam. He did what any sensible Sith warrior with Massassi friends would do and went to find a bar that served Massassi. It didn't take long for the mix of alcohol and instinct to brew up into a nice vat of violence...

Lord Rath considered for a moment that he should perhaps listen to his better angels and call for calm. But he was Sith, and these were his brothers in arms. Besides, a good fight was good for morale. Jo'ren's morale.

"Peace is a lie."

Large fists flew. So did knees and elbows.

Day 1. EN. First Rule of Massassi Club. Option 3. Average Brawl check. Sense upgrades. Suspicion upgrade. Boost from Ashley. 2 boosts from Dayana.: 3eP+2eA+3eB+2eD 4 successes, 5 advantage, 1 Triumph

+2 Fight points. (I make that 7-7)

The evenings party had left Alister tired enough to want to seek shelter at his country estate. Something that was a bit unusual for the scientist, but it had seemed nessacary, Though as he entered the Cantina his eyes shot to Vair'ea, she had encouraged they partake in a night cap... but this? Wasn't this just kind of after party? HE swore he recognized more then a few of the people gathered here from Darth Tayana's party. Furthermore it seemed like half the crowd was trying to start a brawl.

His first Instinct was to leave, but it seemed to be far too late for that. So instead he tried to soothe frayed tempers with the help of Cair'ea as he made his way to a empty table. What in the galaxy had ever made him think comign here was a goof idea?

It seemed though his efforts weren't appreciated.

Massassi Fight Club, Option 2 Discplined Soliders using discpline upgrade from first even roll, 2 Boosts from Joren, assistance from Vair'ea: 3eA+3eB+1eC+1eD 0 successes, 3 advantage, 1 Despair

Remmington is honestly just looking to have a drink. He spots Jo'ren and starts walking towards the big man to greet him. "Yo Jo'ren. Fancy mee..." Before he is slugged by a large Massassi.

He gets pulled into the fight and while not as physically impressive as many of the others in the fight, seems to be taking a beating yet stays on his feet.

Allister beat me to using Jo'ren's boost die. Will drop 1 of my Boost.

The cantina breaks out into a brawl and punches are thrown and blood is spilled until local Military Police show up and beat people into submission, Imperial and Sith alike as a few Inquisitors arrive to handle the more dangerous opponents. Once order is restored Bex is held accountable for not being able to control the Massassi.

The Massassi love a good fight and gift the folks in the cantina with Potent Blood Wine, this concoction can be drunk to grant a Heal similar to a Stimpack plus it increases Soak by 1 for a scene but it reduces Strain by 2. It has one use.

This is for everyone that participated in the thread, since everyone was fighting by the end.

OOC: Fight wins, Remmington suffers 7 Conflict for instigating Fighting due to his deep connection to the Light.

It happened in a flash. It seemed things were beginning to calm.

And then the boiling pot tipped over. Someone threw a punch. Another was pushed into the Mandalorian. Cursing, he had to keep his word.

Reaching behind him as the armor plating opened, Tyber grabbed his harpoon grapnel.

True to his statement, the Mandalorian began reeling out troopers, leaving them tied as he used the enhanced systems of his armor to aid in pulling them out of the fray.

Remmington decides to approach Jo'ren first. "Good evening. Seems like I cannot stay out of trouble whenever you are around huh? Or maybe I should say that whenever you are around things always get interesting?"

He notes the Mandalorian and the modifications and weapons that he is carrying which are focused on restraining and capturing targets. A bounty hunter perhaps?
