[D6 MA Grathan Estate] The Grathan Affair

Jaheem had information and a directive he had ridden to Kaas City with Raela and after looking around a bit he decided he needed to head to Grathan Estate to begin speaking to Lord Grathan. He had informed his group where he was heading in case he would need back up.

Jaheem wore his new armored robes, the matte black metal was mostly concealed by folds of dark fabric as he approached the front gate and requested an audience with the Lord.

The estate is massive as a speeder coms to pick him up ad bring him through several open fields with soldiers and droids doing training or exercises, by a large massive hangar filed with military equipment and then towards the home proper. He is brought into a high tech chamber with viewing screens overlooking the ground and a woman is watching two Sith apprentices train before her.

She turns and said, “Lord Abasi, yes? I recall you at the party… but I am not sure if I recall your slave doing anything of note.”

[Jaheem Abasi]

He inclines his head to her in way of greeting "Lady Grathan, I hope you and your husband have been enjoying your new marriage. You indeed would have seen me at your party earlier in the week but I did not bring a slave, I'm afraid pointless violence bores me, though that little fight between Darth Acina and the Witness was a good bit of fun."

[Dapper Dog]

“Pointless violence was the point,” she said dismissively.

[Jaheem Abasi]

"Fair enough, Lady Grathan I was hoping to speak to your husband, is he in?"

[Dapper Dog]

"Fair enough, Lady Grathan I was hoping to speak to your husband, is he in?"

“He is, though busy, what did you need him for, Inquisitor?” she responded.

[Jaheem Abasi]

"I have questions for him regarding Intel we have recieved, this is official business I am afraid and I cannot speak with you in detail. I understand Lord Grathan is a busy man and enjoys his solitude but it is rather urgent that I speak with him."

[Dapper Dog]

"Whatever you have to say to my husband I will know regardless, and if it affects my home then I demand a right to know," she said firmly.

[Jaheem Abasi]

"Last Grathan are you telling me you will not allow me to see your husband?" His voice was not aggressive it was in fact softer "one who bars an inquisitors investigations casts suspicion on themselves."

She laughed and said, "I simply wish to know if this will be something that I should be concerned about, Inquisitor."

"Lady Grathan I have made the trip from Zoist and have a job to do I wish to get it done swiftly. If there is anything you should be concerned about i will let you know. Make no mistake, I am asking nicely for now." She was resistant but he hoped he could get through this without having to push too hard.

She gestured for him to enter the next room, "As you say, Inquisitor."

[Jaheem Abasi]

He inclined his head "Thank you Lady Grathan." He said as opened the door to the next room keeping his eyes peeled for anything amiss.

Grathan waited in the chamber, it was an observation room overlooking an engineering bay as workers built machines of war. He said over his shoulder, “Inquisitor to what do I owe this bloody dubious honor.”

[Jaheem Abasi]

"Lord Grathan." Jaheem said as he closed the doors behind him "I know you are a busy man so I will get right to the point, we have received Intel that you are working with the terrorist codename The Eagle. What do you have to say for yourself?"

As Jaheem spoke he extended out his senses to look into Lord Grathan's mind. Jaheem's aptitude for mental manipulation and invasion was well displayed today as he felt the force move through him easily.

“Well that’s a bloody lie, if I wanted to have some loony blow things up I have more than enough soldiers to do the job and do it right,” he barked back.

His thoughts are angry and tense with a violent edge to them.

Jaheems eyes hardened "Lord Grathan you would do well to police your tone better. I have Intel and am following a lead, I decided to come to you in the open and ask nicely. We could be having this conversation in an inquisition interrogation room which would be decidedly less pleasant. Now I will give you one last chance, is there any connection between you and the terrorist known as The Eagle? If you come forward now and help apprehend him you might not be executed but if I leave here and find a connection later......" Jaheem never raised his voice, he spoke in a calm, almost detached manner but there was certainly a cold edge to it. He let the sentence trail off allowing Grathan's mind wander with the possibilities.

Lord Grathan throws back his cloak to show his own weapon, “Boy, I was killing upstart Sith while you were still in small clothes, now if I bloody want to support some terrorist I would just do it, but this Eagle ain’t one of mine. Now either make good on your threats or leave my home, because I sure as shite ain’t in league with this two bit villain.”

“That’s as straight forward as I can be.”
