Sitting quietly in court, Ilar made sure to make recordings of all the people who spoke on the agenda topic to pass on to Master Ausar when she inevitably arrived at Courr.

She was the Emperor's Witness. Thus, she took up an appropriate position near the heart of Imperial power, so as to show that she was not like these others gathered here.

As each person spoke before the Emperor's court, Xyll took care to record their words precisely as they had been uttered. She might've altered them subtly for reasons her own; it would've been so easy. But no, that would not do. She recorded only the reality before her.

Her impassive eyes lingered on each person who chose to speak. If she had thoughts on their arguments and pleas, she did not show a hint as to what they might be.

After giving his speech Sylvain returned back to the crowd and to the side of his young attendant, Nasari. The blue-haired Zygerrian and he chit-chatted while they listened to the various speakers; taking mental notes of each person and their arguments.

Lord Tenebrous returned to the outskirts of the court as she finished her turn on the floor, where her white-haired attendant stood calmly and waited. As the Sith Lord took a seat, Hyuna leaned in close and whispered some things to her, while exchanging some info from a datapad.

Remmington finds a spot in court to watch the proceedings. Things are a little intense for him to jump into the world of politics.

Lucinia was there, her expression impassive. Perhaps even cool. She watched the proceedings with little apparent interest, but at least not with active disinterest.

It seemed appropriate that she be there, but the outcome mattered little to her.

"There are many potential causes for silence," Dayana mused. She 'glanced' up with her head gesture at the other people prattling on. "Ignorance, no, that would never describe you, darling."

The masked Sith folded her fingers. "Apathy? Over our Empire's proceedings? Or perhaps you are biding your time, either hoping to find the right argument or the right cause. Surely not the latter, though, since the right cause is obvious."

Lucinia turned her head at the familiar voice. Her eyes widened, red lips shifting through a number of possible expressions before they settled on amused. "Indeed, I hope you would not describe me so, my dear."

She waited as Dayana finished her pre-pitch, watching her with tilted head and narrowed eyes. "Is that so?" Lucinia gave one of her single shoulder shrugs. "Perhaps, but this sounds like a political matter. And I feel it is best that I not gratuitously involve myself in political matters. Surely the right decision will be made without my intervention. Whatever that is."

"Oh, and yet we spoke of control just yesterday." Dayana extended her arm past Lucinia and clenched her fist. "As Sith, our will is made manifest when we act. We speak and the people listen."

She smiled faintly. "No such thing as us being 'gratuitously involved' in politics. And though I may have a lighter view on slaves than others, I will point out that it is they who should be wary of how much they speak among their betters."

Lucinia smiled. "But there is value in being neutral. If I am scarce with my support, it makes it all the more valuable when I give it."

She waved a hand. "But if the cause is right... do go on, Dayana. You know I don't care to discuss this sort of thing more than I have to."

The colonel made her way from the spotlight towards where others were starting to gather and studied them politely.

Sylvain continued to listen to the many voices carefully, but somewhere in him there was a touch of hope that came into his mind... He didn't know how or why... But disparate actors were all making what he felt was the only true path forward.

He glanced around the room at each of the faces trying to assess the motives of each one...

"Or they may believe that you are inexperienced once you finally speak," Dayana countered with a wide grin, "We both know that isn't true, though."

The masked Sith sighed and relaxed her posture. "Did we not speak of how the challenge is part of the thrill of having your way? You are making this far too easy." She shrugged. "It seems like my main agenda is proceeding as planned. However, I imagine House Malveaux's dealings with House Valthren has garnered faith in the latter's ability to divvy up resources. As a prominent member of your family, would you agree?"

Again, Lucinia's green eyes narrowed, although her smile did not disappear.

"Am I making it too easy for you, my dear? You make me think that I should argue more firmly against your points if you desire a challenge." The corners of her red lips curled up just the slightest bit more. "But perhaps not yet. I am interesting in seeing where you're going with this, although I have an inkling." She gave a slow nod.

"Not exactly. I want you to be truthful," Dayana replied. She folded her fingers on her lap and smiled. "It is not my place to direct you. I simply wanted to nudge you in the right direction."

A woman in elegant dress approached and said, "My Lord, I wanted to express my thanks for your impassioned words on behalf of the outer regions of the Empire. House Nuwazi has most of our holdings in those regions and we have been ravaged by the plague and piracy. A shame as our worlds produce a great deal of produce to the feed the Empire."

He nodded graciously, "A story far too often repeated in recent days. But one I hope to rectify immediately. Where are the holdings your family possesses Lady Nuwazi?"

“Dunar, Vengol, and Mirol systems are firmly in the control of my family, and all suffer from plague,” she said with sadness.

“My heart bleeds for the people.”
