[Day 9 - EA] Imperial Court: All Glory to the Empress

Imperial Court had to go on and the Empress-Regent was adamant on that fact. Court was quiet and security was high, the Imperial Mother, Empress-Regent, and the Empress had not yet arrived but hey were expected any time now.

The Dark Council or those that were left or deigned to show up were in the audience chamber just like anyone else. Missing was Darth Hoshi, who was rumored to have returned to the Outer Regions to secure her holdings, Darth Jadus but that not surprising, and Darth Marr who was busy hunting down the remnants of Darth Malgus forces.

A good night of rest had done Jaheems injuries some good he arrived in court standing tall some remnants of the fight yesterday still lingered like an cut on his right cheek that looked as if it might scar.

His armor was polished and repaired the robes around it fresh and whole. He took his usual seat but was accompanied by Raela the red skinned Sith woman on his arm and now occupying the seat next to him in court. He waited to hear what would come of this court session with a mix of excitement and trepidation

It was not immediately clear if she still had her previous role; but Xyll took a seat appropriate to that role nonetheless. If anyone had any problems with it, well, they were welcome to try and make an issue out of it.

Those who had not seen her since court yesterday would notice that her left eye had grown pale.

There seems no indication there will be an issue for the Witness.

Lucinia didn't really enjoy politics, but she recognized the necessity of them. And if ever there were a necessity, it would be at this, a transitional period, where a new order might be looking for a show of loyalty.

And so, Lucinia was there, wearing her finest dress, (black, of course). Her makeup and hair were exquisitely done. She'd even gone so far as to wear a string of fine pearls around her neck.

Eyes narrowing, she looked around. Noting presences, noting absences. And, importantly, making sure she was noticed. I aided your cause. Is this not enough?

For a day like today, Shaisha had decided on an outfit based more on the traditional outfits of the Vreysk, recreated on commission after she had done some digging into some of her family history. She knew well how fond Jun-Tsu was of tradition, as was she herself, and with the dawn of a new era, it seemed the right time to show such colors. Silver fading to grey, and splashed with red, designed to work well in the cold of Ziost as well as allowing for ease of movement while also keeping the regal appearance, which worked well with her intricate braids.

Lord Tenebrous - Lady of House Vreysk - stood tall and unphased by the events of yesterday.

Skrakk them all. Tyr stalked into the chambers, a snarl set on his face, in his customary armour. He understood why they said what they did, hell, it was probably true. He'd considered the possibility, and formed his own opinions. Imperial authorities had strongly encouraged him to present himself and he'd always been the loyal type. He would not be shamed, and he would not slink away like a beaten dog.

Raela made her appearance in court, dressed in a black, high-collared dress with silver accents and subtle, lacelike cutouts revealing white fabric near the wrist and the bottom hem. Just in case things decide to go insane again, she has her medpac at her side as she finds her seat next to Jaheem.

There was an aura around Ilar as he entered the court and took a seat on the opposite side of Raela. Hecwas dressed conservatively and comfortably.

He wasn't sure if court would be as interesting as yesterday, but he was prepared for that possibility.

As he sat, his eyes found Jaheem's for a split second and no longer.

Rumun was here of course, he would not miss these new set of events. The fact that Darth Baras appeared on the Imperial Network claiming that the Eagle caused all of this, and that Darth Malgus was somewhat the leader of the Eagle was amusing to him.

Although Baras spoke with convincing words, Rumun remembered how convincing he was when he said that Layne was the Magpie terrorist, which was, of course, a lie.

The duro sith was sure that, this was all a farse. Something happened to the Emperor during the coup. Probably he was killed. Darth Malgus probably was half succesful in his coup attempt.

In any case, it didn't matter at all for Rumun what was the truth and what was a lie. All of this situation made it far more fun in his eyes. He was smirking after all...

So much excitement.

Alister was there, though not because he really wished to be. No matter which sith was in charge the insanity would remain unchanged. Yesterday's events were a perfect example of that.

Still his family would be upset if he didn't attend, so he was were regardless of his feelings. With luck this would end quickly though, and he could go about his day.

The empress dowager was the first to make her appearance. A lengthy veil occluded some of her features, and trailed behind her as she made her way to her appointed seat. Basked in fashions not much different from those the assemblage knew to be of House Farro, she took her seat. Her hands were folded into her lap with a soft grace and she cast her eyes about with a maternal air.

Settling on the witness she nodded, "Lord Nyx, delighted ve are to hawe you record zhiz momentuz occazion. Ve pray, by zhe light of zhe Umbră-Ușoară, you veel zhe zame."

It began with the ringing of cymbals and chimes and then the doors swung open and the procession began led by Fa-Lei, she was the first to give voice to the song of the ancients but the others followed as she slowly entered chamber.

On either side of the procession of the witches were the blind warrior women of Darth Arya. Each beat of the drums announced another step as they continued their dirge towards the throne. They wore dark gowns that shimmered with hints of gold and veils that obfuscated their faces trimmed with bone and fetishes.

They were now halfway as they the song continued but the witches were silent as they split into two lines from revealing the diminutive Empress who was dressed as her kin but wore a small crown ebon metal.

As they reached the Empress audience they began singing once more as they flanked both sides of the circular platform. The Empress took her seat in the center as the Empress-Regent, Darth Arya, shuffled into the other.

Fa-Lei then began the song once more singing alone, before the others joined her and then as one the witches took their seats. Empress gave a nod to Empress-Regent who said, “The first Imperial Court of Empress Vas-Tsu, Chosen of the Umbral Dark shall be called to order. The first order of business, are those that survived the traitor, Darth Malgus. In her wisdom, the Empress is prepared to allow them amnesty but they will be bound to the service of House Farro in their penance. If they deny this, then her judgment will be swift and final.”

She gestured to the so called traitors and said, “Come forth.”

"You're lucky, you know. You never had to feel the Dark Side here." Dayana curled her fingers. "I still feel it underneath my skin."

This was going to be an interesting moment, and Lord Tenebrous found herself leaning slightly forward in her seat in anticipation for those named traitors to step forward. If they dared to do it.

But what was most interesting to her was what the regime would do...
