The Eagle and Talons

The Eagle will be hidden and his allies will not give up his whereabouts easily. The players will have to flush him out and will have chances to do that in events and role play by revealing his Talons, his closest agents. There are five talons in all but only three need to be revealed and dealt with to expose the Eagle, going above and beyond will make it easier to deal with the Eagle.

The five Talons are known as the Raptor, Predator, Hunter, Stalker, and Killer. When a Talon is revealed the players will have to decide if they wish to kill them, turn them, or capture them, this will be done through a poll. Killing a Talon is the simplest task but they lose any intelligence the Talon could have provided. Turning them can yield the best intelligence but they could also betray the players and capturing the Talon will provide basic intelligence to track down the Eagle. When a Talon is killed they yield no intelligence but will flush out the Eagle.

If three Talons are dealt with or killed then the Eagle will be revealed and the players will have till Day 10 to deal with him before he goes to ground and evades capture. Even after the Eagle is revealed the players can still continue their campaign against the Talons if they wish to gather more intelligence or better their odds.

Designation: Organization 34Z97-1
Public Designation: Eagle’s Children

Threat Level: Low

Commander’s Briefing: The Eagle’s Children as they call themselves are considered a terrorist organization by Imperial Intelligence and any agents of the organization are to be watched and detained if deemed an immediate danger to the Empire. If an Imperial citizen is identified as being affiliated with this organization they are to be turned over immediately to Imperial Intelligence, they are not be held in public holding.

Imperial Intelligence has identified the leadership as six individuals; the Eagle and then five lieutenants known as Raptor, Predator, Hunter, Stalker, and Killer. At this time Imperial Intelligence has not narrowed down to the list to specific individuals or entities, only the aliases have been identified.

Mayhem Events

The Eagle relies on his Children of the eagle to sew chaos but his best weapon is recruiting outsiders to his cause by offering lucrative rewards for their assistance. His agents usually act through cryptic messages on the Holonet or through graffiti or word of mouth of an event and then allowing them to carry out and bring violence to the streets.

Mayhem Events all have an Optional first step, finding out about the event beforehand, this can be skipped but it increases the difficulty of all actions in the Mayhem Event by one. If the roll is failed the player increases their Suspicion by 5 but can continue on to the event as normal with a setback die on all of the rolls.

Once there the player has to decide if they are there to aid the Empire or the Eagle, aiding the Empire usually has no real reward besides diminishing the effect of the attack and serving the Empire! Siding with the Eagle will increase their Suspicion by 10 but they can claim the reward on success, or a lesser reward on failure.

The Suspicion increase can be mitigated by making a Hard Deception check.

Darth Malgus Support

In addition to aiding the Eagle or the Empire, one can take Darth Malgus support, this must be declared before starting the event. Doing so allows them to bypass the Optional step and only gain a setback to all the rolls in the event.

They gain one free upgrade to a single roll and for their support they will earn 1500 credits for their efforts. Working for Darth Malgus does not increase Suspicion unless the event says otherwise.
