[Day 3, EA] Rakatan riches or ruin?

As they walked along, Lucinia pulled out her datapad, recording as much as possible.

"How exciting." She murmured again.

[Lord Jo'ren Rath]

It took a long time for the air around Jo'ren to warm up again. He walked along in silence, seething. Their success was at least mildly pleasurable. Eventually he spoke.

"Fucking amazed this place is still functional."

Lt. Hin had her datapad and scanner out, recording everything.

[Dapper Dog]

In the center of the chamber a glitching and fractured holographic display attempted to manifest but seemed stuck in a loop.

Frowning with scientific curiosity, Lucinia went right for it. "Lieutenant, assist me if you would." She said, her tone crisp.

She was Jo'ren's, of course, but she figured he would approve.

She looked over at Jo'ren, who nodded his approval.

"I'd be happy to." Ashley approached Lucinia and the device with its looping display. "How would you like to proceed?"

Lucinia frowned. "Let's see what we're dealing with, first. Once we've done that, we can see whether an approach through the software or the hardware is more appropriate.

It had proven a satisfying accomplishment; and now they were set to reap the rewards. One would hope.

Now they were facing something else however. Technology tended to be outside her realm of expertise. Though *old* technology, at least she might know a thing or two about that.

She does not recognize the words directly but it sounds like ancient Rakatan.

"Ancient Rakatan." Lucinia said. "Well, if we needed any more confirmation that we're in the right place..."

She and Ashley worked on the computer, but couldn't seem to get anywhere. "Damnation." Lucinia murmured.

"There may be be things we might discover without relying on their systems," she said. "It would simply take longer without an index of their inventory, or whatever that," she pointed at the broken hologram "is supposed to be."

[Lucinia Malveaux]

"Yes." Lucinia said with a sigh. "I suppose we'll have to do without. Perhaps we'll be able to find additional clues as we're looking around."

Stepping back from the computer, she looked around for other points of interest.

"Mm, computer might be worn down by time...?" she thought out loud as the computer led them nowhere.

Still, she looked around to see if there were other points of interest. There was bound to be something they could salvage.

"... Would it be possible to salvage something of the computer and bring it back with us?"

[Dapper Dog]

The computer terminal could be salvaged for later perusal though it was large and bulky, at about 50 to 60 kilos in an oblong shape that needed to be pulled out of the floor.

OOC: Advantage used.

[Lord Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren pulled out his universal tool and activated it with a snap hiss. "Looks like it should be easy enough. Draahg and me can get it out."

Before he got started Jo'ren had a look around the structure, using the force to enhance his senses. Maybe they're was something else there too?

Day 3. LA. Rakatan section. Perception with Seek upgrade. Positive dice only.: 2eP 3 successes, 1 advantage

(OOC: No difficulty dice yet, but potentially 3 successes, 3 advantage if Ashley's Improved Researcher advantages help)

"There's a talented researcher back on Ziost that could help us unlock its secrets..." Shaisha thought of Allister.

As Jo'ren studied the cut he was going to make, she did a last sweep over the room to see if they missed anything of interest or importance.

[Lucinia Malveaux]

Lucinia sighed. "This will be easier to examine in better conditions. We should be able to bring it back with us." She pursed her lips. "But it is awfully heavy..."

Casting her gaze around, Lucinia looked for something to help them carry it. Until her gaze fell upon Jo'ren. And his very muscular form.

She smiled. "Jo'ren, would you be a dear... ah, good. Thank you."
