Jan's dress shimmers for a moment befor projecting a new exterior, completely hiding the image of the woman. Now a simple box took its place, edging out into the darkness and the water. Silent and unnoticed, as only a box could be.....

The squad comes to an am empty chamber with a ramp up out of the muck, there was a single chair now laying down on its back and in the center of the room was a man hanging from the ceiling by binders with several deep cuts across his torso.

He coughed up some blood and offered a bloody smile, “Well this is ironic.”

This seemed like another trap, though a more subtle one.

Shaisha kept her attention on their surroundings, looking around for any potential traps, or other paths leading from this room.

Jaheem nodded "Yes, a mercenary from the attack on the promenade gave me his picture. Said this man hired them to do that attack." He then proceeded to pull out said photograph which was of the same man "though this seems a little too easy for my taste."

"Malam Gil." Tyber strode forwards, looking to the man as he dangled from the celing. "This worth the money made?" His voice was level, but deep down?

Tyber was enjoying seeing the smug man brought down a peg or two. He nodded to Jaheem.

"Has a taste for lavish parties and expensive booze. Lives in Varas Point. High rise apartment with a hell of a view."

"And he's just hanging there being tortured while there's...what was it? Some kind of horrible killer wandering around?..."

Jan quietly puts herself directly behind Lord Tenebrous and away from most possible ambushes

Calling out to the bound man as she holsters her rifle, swapping it out for the tiny pistol
"Were you being tortured by some kind of professional? Or just an amateur enthusist?"

"Ah. His reputation is known to me, but this is the first time our paths cross." Saber still ignited, Shaisha let the others focus on the strung up man as she remained focused on their surroundings.

With a quick adjustment to the scanners integrated in her mask, she checked for heat signatures as well.

“Well actually,” he replied with a cough of blood, “the money is quiet worth it, assuming you free me, I am still going to be ridiculously wealthy and I can reward you for your time if patriotism isn’t your goal.”

“The Killer was thorough, but painfully so. If you could Lt. Rook relay to the good Colonel that the location should be… well relatively clear. Once they knew the area…”

He stopped and coughed more blood and added, “Compromised, they went deeper into the sewers. Probably saved my life… as it were.”

When nobody else is looking she rubs her fingers together meaningfully at the bound man.

"You will be freed from your current predicament," she said cooly as she now looked at the man. "But you are very misguided if you think those of us here value credits over the Empire. And also foolish."

Shaisha looked to the others. "However, we can't proceed with him along as a captive to be questioned. Suggest we let him hang for a while longer, and have someone collect him?" By her tone, she was open to input from the others.

"It's risky M'am, decent chance someone else wanders through and just kills him, then where are our cr-information sources? I don't think he's in any state to escape if we secure and silence him appropriately."

"He needs medical attention. Wounded like this, and strung up? A strain on the body that could prematurely end him." Tyber assessed the man. "We would risk losing valuable intel. But our priority needs to be the apprehension of Codename: Killer." His eyes narrowed as he looked to the man.

He checked his comm, sending a signal to his Duros friend.

Have a subject. Need extradition. Bring lights and medkit. Watch out for submerged turrets.

"Maybe my contact can help us out."

“As you say, though medical treatment of some kind would be appreciated,” he responded.

“I do believe there is internal bleeding at work… well internally. As for Killer, he knows these blasted tunnels better than anyone. You free me, give me amnesty and I can deliver unto you my information on Killer.”

He coughed more blood.

Her lips pursed in thought. Lesser evils and all that was the line of thought going through her head.

"Good thing it's internal. It's where the blood's supposed to be," she remarked dryly, before looking to the others. "Think his intel will be valid?"

The man could stil lie to them, after all.

“If it’s not Czerka charges quite reasonable rates for a debt recovery team... which in this case would be his life.”

When she received the all clear signal, Moraal stepped around the corner. Thumbing on her own comlink, she opened a channel to her peer.

"I need a security unit at the Eclipse, and droids searching the tunnels and sewers in a five kilometer radius. Security team will also be taking a subject into custody... And inform Imperial Intelligence that General Unjin's office has a source we are willing to share if they would kindly give us more than reams of raw data this time."

She set her comlink back on her belt, and turned her attention to the business man suspended in the middle of the room.

"Mr. Gil, no one here will offer you amnesty. Share your information on the Killer, and I will have you placed into protective custody. Once there, you will divulge all information you possess on the Eagle, its operations, personnel, holdings, assets, and any other questions you are asked promptly, accurately, and without embellishment. I'm a great believer in redemption, and if you cooperate then you will be allowed to rehabilitate. Fail to comply in any way and all of your assets will be frozen and seized pending review of their legality and the penalty to yourself will be far more severe."

(( If Gil is considered to have exceeded his strain threshold due to torture, then I will spend a Destiny to activate Blackmail to compel his cooperation, at least in the immediate term ))

Jaheem stepped forward "Give me a moment." He turns off his lightsaber and stepped forward getting eye level with the man he grabbed his head as he pushed the force into this man's mind probing for useful information. Jaheem closed his eyes to concentrate on the dangling man's thoughts.

The darkside flowed freely through him and he used it to penetrate this man's mind to open his thoughts as Jaheem opened his eyes the normal coppery red flaring and shimmering as he actively channeled the force. "Do you have useful and credible information on this talon known as Killer?" His eyes bore into the man as he awaited his response the whole time Jaheem looked for any hint of lying on his face or in his thoughts.
