Lucinia had tried to treat her wound herself. A mixture of painkillers and wine, carefully mixed, took a bit of the edge off. But, by the evening time, she decided that it wasn't enough.

Uncharacteristically dressed in sweater and skirt, with tights underneath (it was Ziost, after all), Lucinia made her way through the gate. Past the gate guard. And up the elevator, quite a ways, to the penthouse level. She sighed, noting the modern lighting, heating, and all those amenities that Malveaux house lacked. Including a hallway not lined with death portraits.

Making her way to Sinea's room, she rang the door chime, tucking the medpack under her arm as she did so. Her left arm, of course; the blaster burn was just above her right hip.

Sinea took her sweet time in opening the door, but finally it opened. The pureblood was dressed in a black dress that seemed to emphasize all her assets while leaving little to the imagination.

"Hello there!" She greeted Luci brightly, and invited her inside. The apartment was warm enough, though not sweltering.

"How's Ziost so far?"

The dress earned Sinea a raised eyebrow; or perhaps it was her assets. One and the same, really. With a tight smile, Lucinia stepped into the room, sighing at the pleasant heat. She shrugged off her thermal cloak, revealing black skirt and navy blue sweater.

"Good evening, Sinea. Goodness, you look dressed to kill. Figuratively. I hope I didn't catch you on your way out."

Wincing slightly, she set the medkit down on the nearest flat surface. "Well, on some counts. Rather poorly on others. I was shot today. A terrorist with a sniper rifle." Her red lips thinned dramatically. "Can you believe it? The audacity of it!"

"Well, I did hear of an interesting party in Varas Point, so I figured I'll check it out." Sinea sat down gracefully, showing off all that she had, a silver necklace being something new. "Oh really? I am sorry to hear, the powerless rabble can sometimes be dangerous." Her eyes darkened as she spoke and took the medkit. "I suggest you try learning some foresight. It saved my life a couple of times." Her voice was heavy and serious as she spoke.

"How did it happen?"

"Alas, yes." Lucinia sat down with another wince. "I received a transmission from Darth Malgus warning about an attack. I went to stop the assailant, spotted him, and, ah..." She smiled thinly, "-gave them some rather harsh words."

Slowly, she lifted up her sweater on the right side, revealing smooth but unusually pale skin, marred by a rather sizable bandage. A bit of redness stood out around the edge. "Unfortunately, they gave me this in return. I thought perhaps you could, ah..." She nodded to the medpack.

Lucinia waited, still holding the side of her sweater aloft. "That's a very fine necklace." She added as she waited. "I don't think I've seen you wear it before."

"Oh? Sounds certainly interesting. Was it related to this Eagle fellow?" Sinea deftly moved to pick up the medkit, her sickeningly sweet scent wafting in the air next to Luci as she did so.

"Sounds certainly dangerous. You should be more careful next time. Perhaps I can tag along, if you'd like." She shrugged as she started applying the ointment the computerized medpack kindly offered by itself. "It's something I picked up recently. It grants me a little bit of home...the feeling of weather back there actually. Quite refreshing in this snow filled and of hate.

"Mmm, perhaps." Lucinia gave a shrug with one shoulder; the left, of course. "I don't intend to make a habit of it. From time to time I'll spill blood for the 'greater good', I suppose." There was a hint of irony in her voice. "But really, I have my sights set on other goals. More discovery."

She sighed as the ointment began easing the pain of her injury. "Indeed. I find the cold a bit oppressive." She smiled. "The necklace suits you though. You know, there's a beach here? A warm one? I visited briefly the other day. Perhaps that would take the edge off." And Sinea certainly had the figure for it, Lucinia thought almost jealously.

"Well, someone set their sights on you, just not in the right way." Sinea smirked at her own joke, before putting away the medkit, and started meditating. "Here, let me help with those" She touched the bruise and started concentrating. Her skin was hot to te touch, and the bruise receded slightly.

"A beach, eh? Perhaps we can visit sometime. A distraction from everything." She pursed her lips. "Oh? What kind of discovery"

Breath hissed between Lucinia's teeth as the wound was healed, somewhat. The Dark Side always healed wounds rather unpleasantly. Still... "Thank you." She sighed as some of the pain eased.

"Mmm, that could be pleasant. I know a few other ladies who could be interested. Lady Dayana, and Lord Tenebrous, if you know them. We could doubtless cut a swathe through the menfolk on the beach." Her red lips curled upwards. "Literally and figuratively."

"Oh, the usual." Lucinia waved a hand vaguely. "The usual. Ancient artifacts, mysterious dark tombs, dangerous ruins, that sort of thing. I may have a lead on something in a nearby system."

"The usual." She chuckled lightly as she stood up and moved towards a decanter. "Something strong for your pain?" Her voice was idle as she turned her head back.

"Ah yes, I know Lord Tenebrous. Shaisha, as she was known when we were wee younglings aspiring to get our own lightsabers." She smiled at the thought. "Lady Dayana?"

Lucinia sighed. "I've already had a bit... but yes, please."

She shifted, crossing one long leg over the other. "Lady Dayana Valthren. An old friend of mine; at least, as much as I can use the term for anyone." Lucinia gave a throaty chuckle at that. "Always keeps her eyes covered. I've never seen her without something over them. A mystery..." she gave a casual wave of her hand, "-but not an especially interesting one to me. Everyone has their secrets."

Lucinia sighed. "I've already had a bit... but yes, please."

She shifted, crossing one long leg over the other. "Lady Dayana Valthren. An old friend of mine; at least, as much as I can use the term for anyone." Lucinia gave a throaty chuckle at that. "Always keeps her eyes covered. I've never seen her without something over them. A mystery..." she gave a casual wave of her hand, "-but not an especially interesting one to me. Everyone has their secrets."

Sinea poured a glass of amber liquid for her...friend. In a sith-y way.

"Oh? I'll try and keep an eye out for mysterious women with covered eyes. Maybe she just has really ugly eyes? Like...some muddy brown or mustard or something?"

Lucinia laughed softly, melodically. "No, I don't think so. Not with Sith who have to deal with the effects of Dark Side energies. Some sort of disfiguring injury seems much more likely, especially with the sort of training we received." She pursed her lips. "Perhaps a birth defect, but in that case, would she not have been eliminated at birth?"

Smiling, she reached out to accept the glass. "Thank you, my dear. Ah, you will be joining me in a drink, won't you?"

Lucinia laughed softly, melodically. "No, I don't think so. Not with Sith who have to deal with the effects of Dark Side energies. Some sort of disfiguring injury seems much more likely, especially with the sort of training we received." She pursed her lips. "Perhaps a birth defect, but in that case, would she not have been eliminated at birth?"

Smiling, she reached out to accept the glass. "Thank you, my dear. Ah, you will be joining me in a drink, won't you?"

Sinea smirked. "Quite possible. Ah well. Perhaps a little mystery we could unravel sometime?" She giggled, and took a sip herself. "Just teensy bit. I heard of this great part-" Suddenly the power went out.

"Well, that is just great."

There was a snap-hiss as her lightsaber was ignited, providing light and protection against potential danger. "What just happened?"

Lucinia sat straight up as the power went out. She did not draw her lightsaber, although she did reach out with the Force, detecting what nearby objects would make the best projectiles.

"I don't know, exactly." Her blonde hair looked almost white in the dim red glow of Sinea's lightsaber. "Does Ziost experience this sort of thing with any sort of regularity?"

Lucinia sat straight up as the power went out. She did not draw her lightsaber, although she did reach out with the Force, detecting what nearby objects would make the best projectiles.

"I don't know, exactly." Her blonde hair looked almost white in the dim red glow of Sinea's lightsaber. "Does Ziost experience this sort of thing with any sort of regularity?"

"I have no idea... haven't experienced it since I have been here." She frowned, the expression angry in the red light of her lightsaber. "I don't like it."

"No?" Lucinia laughed softly. "And here I thought you liked the dark, my dear. And surprises."

Moving carefully, step by step, she made her way to the window. And, just as carefully, she peered out, making sure not to expose herself to any possible attack. "It's not just here. It's the whole city." She said, surprise evident in her tone.
