A nondescript office building in the mild of New Adasta, their was nothing unusual about that at all? Right? Alister approached the building along with Vair'ea, at a casual pace. This should be easy. At least he hoped so.

Still he paused to think over his preparations. Papers, slicer gear, and a few other odds and ends. Hopefully this would be enough.

A male human clerk sat in the main office and said, "Good morning citizen, how can I help?"

Alister eyed the man carefully for a few moments. "I've come to make a report." He offered at last, that seemed the place to start.

"Well sir welcome, here are the forms have a seat and fill them out and your number will be called," the clerk responded handing him a datapad with the forms.

The initial plan had been to present the credentials and try to gain access that way, but maybe that was the wrong way? Might as well try his hand at fillign out these forms and seeing where it went from there.

When he was done, he handed them to the man at the front desk and took a number.

The clerk looked them over and said, “Thank you sir, you can proceed to the debrief area, thee is kaff and water.”

In the Debrief area there is a white office room with a table for the kaff and water and what looked like some stale biscuits. A woman sat in a chair, there were no other visitors. She looked briefly at his arrival and then went back to playing on her comm device.

Mcalister nodded, and made his way inside. There was unlikely to be any sort of port to get the worm into the system in the waiting area.

It didn't hurt to keep his eyes open for something though. You never knew what flaws an intelligent mind might see that others were unaware of.

There is a terminal built into the far wall, but it looks to be in a startup loop, displaying a screen then crashing and starting up again.

Really? Such shoddy equipment in the heart of the empire? Still it gave him an excuse to be fiddling around with it.

Walking over to the terminal he frowned at it. "I wonder if they'll mind if I fix this." He murmured to himself as he moved to try and diagnose the problem.

The woman ignored him as he fixed the terminal with ease, it needed a clean reboot and then a quick update of core files. Just had to reconnect it to the network.

OOC: Successful.

Now for the hard part, in setting the worm in the system without being noticed. Perhaps he could do it remotely? If not maybe another way?

((Looking for proper roll to insert the worm.))

The worm goes in easily and then a chat terminal pops up and says, "Congratulations."

OOC: No roll need just insert the data chit.

That wasn't exactly what he was expecting. Perhaps though this was just another grand test. Still it's not like he was going to look into that too far. Closing the chat window, he moved towards the table of refreshments and started preparing a cup of kaff.

She rose and poured herself a glass of water and said quietly, “Are you here for the job opening?”

"He didn't look at the woman instead taking a sip of his Kaff, it was bad but that was to be expected. Especially given the state of the biscuits.

"Yes I am." He offered quietly in return.

“Well, congratulations Alister, my employer would like you to know you have passed this stage of the recruitment,” she said before sipping some water.

"The funds have been transferred."

"Hrm..." He glanced around the area. "It's almost like you were testing my willingness more then anything." Alister replied softly. Still payment was payment so he didn't mind.

((Was how many credits again?))

“Of course, you were resourceful, you planned and sorted out the details and then committed to the action even with the possible consequences. All skills my employer finds admirable,” she said.

"Mmm..." Alister nodded at that. He hadn''t even needed to move to any of hsi secondary plans, at least this time. HE took a slow sip from his Kaff. "What more comes next then?" He asked after a moment.

"That depends, you have the skills my employer would like to put on our payroll. Not as a consultant but a member of the team. Interested in critical work that could save the galaxy?" she offered.
