"Can you see any obvious way of interfacing this with the terminal?" He would wait for his guests to leave before consulting Darth Malak.

Lucinia frowned, leaning forward to examine it more closely. "It is at least easier to examine it here. If we need to, we can try disassembling it. But I think that should be a last resort."
One eyebrow went up as she turned to another guest. "Much as I hate to admit it, this is not my greatest area of expertise. What do you think, Alister?"

Lord Rath nodded at Alister. "See what you can do. This piece is important to me," he indicated the control module, "so if you can access the computer some other way that's fine too." He didn't know this human, but Lucinia and Shaisha had vouched for him. "Lieutenant Hin will assist you."

Lucinia took out her datapad once more. She moved to stand nearby. "I'll record. Anything messages could be of use later, if only for the next time we come across something like this." She smiled coldly. "Slowly, we uncover their mysteries."

Shaisha arrived right behind Lucinia and Alister, curious of what the computer would reveal.
(Busy at Work, but wanted to plop Shaisha in here)

After about forty minutes of work he can get the device to power on. It hums with power as it continues to boot up.

"Well, that's a good sign." Alister murmured as the device powered on. "Though I'm no linguist so let's hope it has some sort of translation function."

Lucinia grimaced. "I shall do my best. I've had some exposure to the language; more than most, I expect. But it's just far too unusual."
Still, she moved gamely closer, readying her datapad.

"Good work you two." He leaned in to look at the screen wondering if it would make any sense.

"Didn't know people still knew Rakatan... not even my attendant knows it and she seems to know all other languages."
Likewise, she watched the process with interest. What would something so old reveal?

She can make out parts of the Rakatan speech, “Domination of lesser… slave species modification in… strong adherence to Force… give report to the Master.”
The message seems to cycle again but still choppy.

Frowning thoughtfully, Lucinia first made note of all of these words in her datapad before repeating them in galactic standard for the rest of the group.
"Does this mean anything to any of you?"

"Only that the took slaves and genetically modified them to serve their purposes." Or at least that's what it sounded like. "Perhaps like the work being done with the Massasi?"
