The watcher blew curls of her forehead and got down to work, wordlessly passing target spots.

The folder downloaded is filled with pictures of chibi wookiees in maid outfits in suggestive poses though every fifth picture or so has a chibi human officer of the Empire making the suggestive poses including one of Hala.

The user disconnected.

"Interesting. It looks like someone has infiltrated your service and is priming the targets. For what, I wonder. Assassination is the easy guess, but simple compromising, corrupting or substituting cannot be ruled out. Please look through this with your discerning eye if there are any patterns here. Current place of stay, cohort, views, allies, positions, such things."

She got to work but it would take some time to get results.

Moyr exited the room and descended into the transparisteel hall, watching the sea beyond.

A native to an arid planet, she hated the sea for all the humidity. By creating the Epoque exactly here, she tormented herself to be ever in the sense of danger and on alert.

Comfort zones didn't belong with the Sith. No rest for the wicked.

She approached the bar.

There was blaster fire and the unmistakable hum of a lightsaber and then a the sound of energy on flesh and a scream and a large thump and more blaster fire and then a woman screams, “I want to know where my DADDY is!”

“We don’t know you crazy witch!” someone shouted and then more blaster fire.

In the center of the room was Lord Zhorrid doing her level best to decapitate a Mandalorian when she saw Lord Bellious and gestured for the trio of Imperial soldiers to stand down.

She leveled her lightsaber and said, “You! You know… Why did Daddy send me this… wretched thing?”

"Never wasting a chance to make your appearance grotesque, Lord Zhorrid. Cleaning service is not cheap these days." She assessed the damages already made, miffed that Mandalorians had been targeted for some reason. Her hand rested on Passion. "What wretched thing exactly?"

“He sent me a message… said goodbye,” she hissed angrily.

“To me? He never says goodbye! It must be another test and you… twi’lek… must be in on it? Laughing at me? I see the way you look at me, as if you are better than me! So where is he?” she snarled back.

"I won't regale, Lord Zhorrid, I don't think I have a good reason to. We both know your father is a very mysterious man. He hasn't told me where he is going, only that he has urgent matters to see to. The message to you, however, may mean that he at least allows a possibility of not coming back. Or, in a grim turn, you being dead once he does."

She paused. "I wouldn't overstate the significance of it though. He has enjoyed his meditative sabbaticals."

“My father loves nothing,” she hissed.

“He is a Dark Councilor why would he not come back? This is madness? You’re lying… what is the plan?”

"I am not lying, actually. I can make guesses though. Have you heard the story of Lord Vetinari? He was once a governor of Bosthirda. At some point, a revolution erupted on his world. He didn't fight it. Instead, for its time, he locked himself in comfortable seclusion where the mobs couldn't reach him, and waited. The revolution ate its children several times over and when he re-emerged, he was welcomed as a saviour and reclaimed his position without trouble." Moyr shook her head. "Ziost may turn into a very unpredictable place soon. And your father is not known to entertain surprises."

She paused. "Is it not more that your father kills what he loves?"
