Ziost - Crown of the Sith Empire

Outside Kaas City, they found the temple. Xal wondered about its history. The Dark Side was palpable. For now, however, the past was not as important as the present or the future.

Raela followed along, the unconscious girl they had taken earlier floating along near her as they walked to the temple. "Be careful..."

"Very careful." he nodded. "Have you ever been here?"

She shook her head. "No... No, I haven't. You?"

"No." he shook his head. "But, I'd like to learn more about it. Much more."

The Temple in the midst of a rainy jungle was an imposing edifice as lightning flashes framing the dark structure with light, built in tiers the final tier has a large stone courtyard with pillars and is built into the side of a stony hillside and looms foreboding.

The rain is coming down in buckets, and the only way forward is into the structure that pulses with dark side energy. They can see the entrance is open with large steps leading upward into the temple proper.

The chamber they need will be on the ground floor of the temple on the right, a tomb from the description of some long dead Sith Lord enshrined here long ago.

"How atmospheric." Xal led the way. The rain didn't bother him, his protective ring ensured that. GR8-1 carried a fusion lantern as it walked beside him.

"I would also very much like to learn more about it... How fascinating," she replied with a nod, looking up as they entered the imposing edifice. "I wonder who is enshrined here?"

"I imagine Zash could tell us." Xal mused. "For now, we'll need to get started."

“You arrived, good. Place the subject in the circle.”

The chamber was prepared with computer systems and readout displays and a circle of purple flamed candles in the center. On a Raised dais was a tomb where Darth Zash presumably waited, she turned and her voice was hers but the face was… wretched, like a corpse the skin was mottled and taut the lips curled back exposing sharpened teeth and her nose all but gone the cartilage long rotted away.

Her eyes glimmered with a purple light, “If we achieve this, then true immortality will not only be the ken of the Emperor, but it will be ours… and I will reward you with such dark secrets of the Force.”

"As you wish, my lady."

Xal did as instructed, placing the woman in the circle.

As he prepared for the ritual, Xal injected himself with one of his remaining stimpacks. This was unknown and dangerous territory. His mind needed to be sharp.

Zash intoned the words in ancient Sith and began drawing on the dark side energies opf the temple as he knelt before the poor woman. Her body suffused with dark side energies it consumed the room absorbing all of them in her power; they could see an infinite amount of themselves through out time and space the past and future all at once and then all merged into one as Zash that was is no more but ash and dark cloth.

The woman opened her eyes and said with Zash’s voice, “We have done it.”

OOC: Zash uses 2 dark to negate the Threat and spends the rest on Advantage for 2 more advantages, using Both Triumphs to create the talent below.

Xal and Raela earn the following Talent:

Immortal Flesh: They have tasted the gift of Immortality, they will not age and can live effectively forever barring violence by suffusing their body with dark side energy, giving them a boost die to resist poisons or suffocation or other normal bodily harms. But it comes with a price any use of Light side pips in addition to the strain will cost an equal amount of wounds as well.
