His knowledge of how people communicated, the word on the street. It was almost routine. He hunched forwards, beginning to run his decoding protocols.
A coupon? His lips pursed, shaking his head. He almost stopped.
Then, something nagged at him. Looking deeper, he began to go deeper into the rabbit hole. His heart rate picked up. Eyes widened. A subroutine. A deeper program. He reached behind, pulling the network hardline cable, almost ripping it from his console. Closing his system off from the rest of the building.
A Trojan.
Not just any virus.
Whatever the Eagle was planning, it involved creating a massive linked network. Drawing on all that computing power.
Worst of all?
The identifiers had the program as Imperial Intelligence.
Spooks.
Watchers and Ciphers.
He swallowed hard.
"Kriff..." the word escaped without breath.
The Eagle was being aided by a rogue Agent, or worse...
Imperial Intelligence was compromised. Coupled with Malgus' sudden appearance...
He pushed away from his workstation, standing up in a jolt.
Were there bugs in the walls? Was the Eagle aware of every move they made!?
"Kriff!" He exclaimed, beginning to pace. How much intel did they already have from his earlier decoding? Was the program already present in every data packet!?
