Ziost - Crown of the Sith Empire

Raela, having recovered further after her adventure the previous day and finished with her work, went to Xal's lab. They hadn't - or at least she hadn't - had a chance to make much progress on Zash's project with everything else going on, so now was the time.

Today had been mostly work, and she really wasn't disappointed in that, even if she hadn't made as much progress on her other project as she had hoped.

GR8-1 led her through the apartment and into the lab.

Xal looked up from his work as she entered. "Good evening."

She nodded to him. "Dr. Kimlya. I figured I'd come by, see if we can't get a start on Zash's project."

"Excellent." he nodded. "There has been some development on that."

He brought up the data he had compiled earlier in the day. "It's not the assumed form of immortality. Essentially, he lives on by possessing new bodies."

She took a chair and slid up to take a look at the data. "... Interesting. Why try to eat everyone, then? Is he trying to shift to a more permanent form of it?"

"I believe so." he nodded. "His power erodes the host bodies. But, with more power, his spirit may be able to exist independent of a physical form."

"I'm tempted to speculate about what kind of existence that would leave you with with no one else around, but I guess digging into it further is the more important thing," she mused with a nod and a small smirk.

"Zash would like us to find a suitable test subject." he added. "Female, good health, and won’t be missed. Species is irrelevant, though they should be aesthetically pleasing.”

"Those were her words."

"..." She tapped her fingers on the desk. "... I can think of a few, but they might be missed. Sadly."

"The cough was worse in person. And, she had an aversion to light."

"An aversion to light or an aversion to being seen?" She asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Likely both." he answered. "It seemed extreme, even for her."

"Regardless, we still need to know more about this ritual."

"Yeah, you're right... And figure out where to get someone both healthy and who won't be missed. The two don't correlate especially well," she replied with a nod, sliding over to a terminal and starting to look over the data again.

"And, within 48 hours.:" he added. "We'll also need to travel to Dromund Kass."

"Oh? What do we need there?"

"A strong concentration of dark side energy."

"Mm... Okay," she replied with a nod. "Lots to do."

"Yes." he sighed. "I had hoped we'd have more time. How are things with your other work?"

"Good. I cracked the virus wide open, I'm just having trouble with the cure itself," she replied with a nod and a small smile. "Not bad for only a couple days work, though."

"Impressive." he gave an approving nod. "I imagine you'll have the cure soon, then."
