He is brought inside and wait for the arrival of the current lady of the house. In the parlor where he is waiting, sits Fa-Lei reading over an actual physical book with a thick leather bound cover. The text was about a meter across when opened on the desk, a floating light near her to give her additional light as she adjusted her glasses and poured over the words carefully.

(Just putting this here so that this shows up in my posts, but I want to give Rem and Fa-Lei some time to interact without Jun-Tsu always being around).

“Oh, my Lord, vhen did you get here?” she said adjusting her spectacle as she looked up.

She glanced down at her light reading and said, “It is not interesting, no, but it covers an early period of ze Imperial expansion. Educational, yes, it is good to learn vhat ve can of our past.”

She rose politely and added, “The trip vas adequate, I do miss home but if this is vhere ve must be then by Ka-Tai’s visdom it shall be so. Are vou here to see mein honored sister?”

Remmington nods at the information and smiles. "I just got here. The past is important to know so we can know where we have been, who we are, and where we should go in the future."

He approaches her. "You really do love your home. Do not worry, we will be back soon enough. So best to enjoy the new sights and experience while you can and gain some perspective. I do want to see your sister to discuss some business with her but I also want to see you. May you show me what you are reading?" He asks showing some genuine interest in what she is reading.

She nodded and stepped aside so he could read the text which seemed to be a journal of an Imperial Officer detailing his life. It gives insight to how people lived then but mostly focused on the military and establishing a settlement on Ziost.

“I just do not zee much of the appeal of the rest of the galaxy, and I feel out of zorts vhen not back home. I like to look after my younger sisters… I am curious though you have so many children already why do you zeek so many? That does not build a house my Lord an heir yes, but this seems odd to me.”

Remmington studies the information and makes a note to record it with his commlink for reference. Never know when the information may become handy.

He nods at Fa-Lei's question. "That is a fair question. I suppose that my answer lays steeped in the past. House Balmung while extremely powerful back in its prime, eventually got felled by numerous enemies slowly chipping away at its power. No matter how strong one may be, it is impossible to achieve and maintain greatness. House Balmung was alone in its fight. That is why it fell.

To survive and prosper, a House needs strong allies as well. The bond of blood is a strong one too. There are many Houses that put much stock and faith in bloodlines. So in the future, I want to ensure that there is a strong connection and unity both within the House and with its allies."

“You can’t overt entropy,” she said with a shake of her head.

“If Balmung must fall then it vill, so it shall be vith Farro and something new will be borne or not. If zese vomen vish to have other lovers or perhaps not want to be with you vould you continue this whatever it is?” she asked now that the subject was broached.

“Vill all these children even be recognized? If so vou are building not a dynasty but a mess of lineages that will vie for control of your house when vou are dead… and I can assure you House Farro children will ve raised by Farro, they vill not be Balmung.”

Remmington listens to her input and considers it. "I suppose you have a point. I am more planning on making a new House than starting anew then resurrect a fallen one.

I will have to figure out a solution for the problem about leadership and succession. What is your opinion if my House adopts a Council structure in regards to ruling the House? The general breakdown and exact numbers can be worked out to something to maintain a balance between encouraging mutual benefit for all the members and people associated but still not get too big where decision making gets slowed down.

I was more or less planning on doing that anyways. So I have no problems with Farro children being raised and educated by House Farro. I am thinking about giving House Farro the choice on which children continue on in House Farro and which ones stay in my House. While Vas-Tu in certainly important, I still want to ensure the future of House Farro as well. Keeping some children in my House will give House Farro a voice in my House and hopefully will ensure that our Houses can prosper together." He puts out his ideas.

"I appreciate and will seriously consider any and all input that you have to give Fa-Lei. So please do not hold back if you consider anything I have to say as foolish. That is a reason why that I value advice from you and your sisters. People who surround themselves only with people who agree with them will only lose valuable perspective and insight that others have to offer."

“My youngest sisters are still many years from being woman, vey need not be your future mistresses. There is no need for zem, with what you have now. If you veel that this is a breach of our vord then I vould offer myself as your aide and advisor,” she said with an adjustment of her glasses.

Remmington seems a little confused by this request. "I do not really have an issue with that request. Though what you are offering in compensation. You are already... are you not Fa-Lei?"

Remmington is a little surprised by this. "Is this opinion shared by your sisters as well?

How can we remedy this situation?" He asks.

“Did you think ve loved you? This is Noble politics,” she said incredulously.

“There is no remedy you don’t make people interested in you, you already have a wife and ve gain nothing, did you just think you vere irresistible? All of your mistresses are people that either vork for you or seem somehow indebted to you or you have power over them, how can you be so naïve as to assume they actually care for you deeply beyond the normalcy of having your children?”

She adjusted her glasses and then said, “I cannot speak for all but House Farro is here for vhat ve gain.”

Remmington sighs. "I guess that will be something that will have to discuss to work out a mutually beneficial arrangement. That may take some time. Are you free tomorrow Fa-Lei?" He asks.

by Jun-Tsu Farro
A sweep of dark robes causing a soft sound against the stone floors announced Jun-Tsu's arrival. She was thoroughly attired in formal dress, prescribed by years of tradition. Though outsiders would not know the significance, the exact robe, veil, headdress, and ornamentation denoted several aspects of Jun-Tsu's position among her family. Each item was precise in its adornment, to convey that she was the third daughter in the line of Ka-Tai. It said that she was a mother to House Farro, and that she had attained the fourth mastery in Sith sorcery and the fifth mastery in alchemy.

All this went completely unsaid, and would go completely unrecognized by the masses, but it was tradition, and House Farro honored its rites, rituals, and traditions.
