An Immortal Emperor In A Mundane Universe (D8, EE)

It was all a huge mess, and it had taken her some time to get back to her estate. She wanted to talk to her father, but it would have to wait... no doubt, he needed some time to process the end of his own torment after three-hundred years.

Today was a day that needed a lot of processing. And tomorrow, she'd take the time to speak with both him, and Jo'ren... and they'd have to get in touch with Jo'ren's family to check up on Lyria after all this.

But for now, it was time to pick up the pieces in the near vicinity. First she had called Anthy and Jitter aboard the Saraai-Kaar, to check on their status. The Jawa it seems had been beneath the notice of the Emperor to possess, and he had locked Anthy in the ship's medical bay when she had lost control of herself. By all accounts it seemed like they'd be fine, but both were shaken after the events... understandably. Both would have to take some time off to deal with this.

Back at the estate, it was time to assess the damages and the condition of the ones there.

The damage was mostly superficial, it could be repaired but it had fared better than other parts of Ziost. By evening things were… calm with the news praising the Emperor’s quick reaction to the Eagle and his demise during the chaos.

The spin was in full effect.

When you knew the truth, the spin was often times gag-inducing. Like it had been with Layne and the Magpie story. Though that did make her think of what the current state of the Dark Council must be... as well as that of her allies.

Guessing that few would have the time for holo-conversations, she settled for sending out messages to Paz, Vowrawn, and Varn at first, to check what their conditions were.

Paz has been busy trying to maintain security and keep his own people from murdering each other, and he is pretty damn sure this wasn’t some Eagle plot but he is going to tow the party line all the same. Section IX is operational, but several agents are hospitalized for injuries physical, mental, and emotional.

Vowrawn is well and has made it well known he was shot and how much he loved it.

Varn survived, he resisted the effect and is also fairly sure the News is lying but for now is focused on making sure his uncles holdings are secure.

She couldn't help but to roll her eyes over Vowrawn's antics, though it did manage to draw out a brief if light-hearted chuckle from her.

Force knows, his easy humor was good to have around on days like this.

For Paz, it was a simple reply of telling him she'd fill him in on the details later, and for him to stay safe. Varn was given a message telling him job well done, and likewise a message to stay safe.

Vowrawn though, she thought about it for a moment before sending him a message.
Much has happened. Can fill you in on the details when you are safe, master.

With those messages out of the way, she went to check on Hyuna, hoping the woman hadn't been further traumatized by today's events after that mission to Nathema...

She was lucid and if she was affected by the Emperor she did not show it, but she didn't say much either.

It was a relief that she was well... or rather, as well as she could be, considering the circumstances.

She took a moment to make sure her attendant was getting the rest she needed, before finally finding a chair to slump down in.

By the Force, she was weary.

"You chose this mediocrity over greatness, I will never understand such small minded ambition," Valkorian scoffed.

"Now some petulant child will take the seat I had groomed for you."

Fuuuuck...

"You're still here...?" she said with some annoyance in her tone. What she had heard back at the tower, she had suspected it was merely an echo.

"You really don't get it, do you? It's of no interest to me to lose my self just so you can use my body to continue ruling for as long as you like." Shaisha sighed.

“I am nothing now, a shard of memory, a constant reminder of your betrayal,” he replied looking at her eyes.

She couldn't help but to smile smugly back at him. What a suitable end to one who thought he was greater than the galaxy.

"Not so fond of betrayal when you're on the recieving end, huh?"

“On the contrary I have been betrayed more times than you will ever know this was perhaps the first time it actually stuck,” he said chuckling.

"Good."

She sighed, leaning her head back to relax some.

Though with his presence still here, it did bring some thoughts to mind. Damn it.

"Now there's the matter of these children of yours... the sons you mentioned, and the daughter I saw in my vision."

“What about them?” he mused.

"Better than most others, I know how troublesome it can be with anyone related to you... no doubt they will be trouble. In my vision, your daughter would be your end..." she said thoughtfully.

What needed to be done once Ziost stabilized became more clear.

“Not surprising, she was strong with the Force even as a child, perhaps even stronger than I was. I had sought to contain that power, my sons were strong as well but she was beyond even then,” he said proudly.

“You are not prepared for that kind of power.”

Her hands folded together, fingers steepled as she considered this carefully.

"We will have to prepare. If we can prepare in such short time for you, we can be prepared for this," she said with a resigned sigh, yet confidently.

Tomorrow would be many interesting talks.

As her mind came more down to extending her thoughts beyond those in her immediate vicinity, she began sending messages out to others as well to check on their status.

To Sylvain:
What a story the news are spinning, but it's to be expected. Hope you're alive and that the girls are safe after today's events.

To Alister:
Hope you're safe and sound after what happened today. My home is open to you if your residence has been compromised.

To Lucinia:
The Malveaux home looked relatively whole still when I passed by it, and I hope you're as well as one can possibly be after today.

To Shelzais:
Hope there was no permanent damage to you or the Wild Ride. Ziost would be a bleaker place without you to brighten it up tomorrow when we all need to take our minds off today.
