Xal and GR8-1 arrived at the lab early and began studying the project records, familiarizing themselves with what had been done so far and making notes of the more promising results.

The program seems quite far along, with the 3rd generation of massassi-hybrid showing greater intellect and still the strength and resilience of the base species. There is concern that the intellect may be too much though.

One of the things that seem interesting is that although the base massassi species has shown a moderate level of Force sensitivity none of the 3rd generation hybrids have shown capability even those identified as possible candidates have shown no capability.

Xal looked over the data and notes regarding Force sensitivity more closely.

After looking at the data, he can see the changes were deliberate though it is unclear why the researcher in charge of the work was Gena Yon, the woman he met previously. It is brilliant work but it could be alarming if someone had the tech to remove the capability of force sensitivity… course it could just be an accident due to [redacted] species gene splicing.

The massassi were dangerous enough and many Sith don’t like the idea of this primitive sub species running around claiming to be Sith.

The arkanian made a few notes on his datapad. This was something to look into further, but carefully. For now, he returned to assessing the project overall and what the next steps would be.

The next phase would be assimilation of all massassi on camp to the level of the 3rd-generation and then observation and field deployment.

For the rest of the morning, they shifted their focus entirely on preparation's for the next phase. Xal made recommendations where he felt they would be prudent.

“Getting up to speed on the project, my Lord?” Gena asked as she entered the lab.

“It is an exciting mission and the progress so far will surely serve the Empire well.”

"I agree." he nodded. "I see that there have been significant accomplishments already. What do you find most promising?"

“Taming the Massassi and making them functional members of Imperial society, and not just functioning but superior shock troopers for deployment against enemy assets,” she said proudly.

"And, reducing any risk they might pose." he nodded.

“Well of course, right now they are a constant liability without strong leadership in the field, these hybrids will be compliant, intelligent, and resilient,” she responded.

“Exactly what is needed.”

"Were any other parameters or requirements set for the project?" he asked "Expected results beyond behavioral and intellectual adjustment?"

"For us not so much, I am sure Command has their goals though," she replied.

He nodded again. "I'm sure they do. All the more reason to stay to our tasks."

"What issues are the most problematic so far?"

“Disciplinary problems with the lesser hybrids and the massassi baseline populace,” she replied dryly.
