Something didn't sit right with Tyber. The treatment of Bex Company, the way they didn't get proper equipment. Something just wasn't adding up.
Over his career, Tyber had made several connections. In many different fields.
So, he waited outside a side building. Helmet against the wall as he looked up. Musing, thinking.
Just what were the Brass trying to bury with Bex?

"It is only trouble if we get caught." He smiled inside his helmet, stepping away from the building as the Duros approached. His arms folded across the armor plating of his chest, standing up straight and true.
"I have some questions, the kind of questions that get buried in bureaucracy and keeping good units down." The T-Visor od the helmet met the Duros' eyes.
"I'll start easy. Why was Bex Company assigned to the Massassi detail?"

The duros lowered the brim on his hat and said, “Well you asking the hard hitting questions, but ay I reckon it Bex ain’t even had a good reputation no ways. It’s the kind of place you either get sent to because there are no open births or you done right pissed someone off.”
“I reckon, that’s the long and short of it.”

"Any idea on how the right people to piss off are? Any information on their CO, or the background details on this assignment?" He pursed his lips behind his helmet, looking off to the side.
"Rescheduling their detail to early this morning seemed a good way to have more problems than reinstill discipline..."

“Guessing their CO… Captain Thuriza… it ain’t secret she wants a new better and easier birth. See way I hear it, if Bex does poorly they get sent back to Kaas City for retraining… which will probably land most of them doing hard duty on some rock. The CO will get a slap on the wrist and reassigned elsewhere and the Empire keeps on rolling.”
“But if they do well they get assigned to a more dangerous but better Op like Hoth I wager.”

"Got any details on Thurzia? Where does she like to hang out? Office hours?" Now the Lieutenant was pacing, tapping a finger against his gauntlet. A heavy exhale was heard over the vocalizer.
"They have an Ensign. He's hungry for action, but I believe he wants what is best for his unit. Anyone have any particular issues with Pierce?"

“Just heard he’s a good one, and as for Thuriza probably with other officers at that base,” he said honestly.

He nodded. "Alright. Good to know." He approached the Duros, extending his hand to him. "You're the best, my friend. I owe you one." A sly grin beneath the helmet.
"Anything else I should know?"

"I hear them massassi is crazy... so watch out for them, partner," he shook the hand and then tipped his hat and was on his way.

He nodded. "Watch your six." Shaking his friend's hand, he watched as the Duros walked, then turned, and walked away himself.
