With his right arm in a sling, Remmington decides to take it easy and decides to relax and enjoy some gambling with Verandi for some time. The two part ways and he stops by the cantina to get a drink.

"Oh myyyyy, that looks like a nasty injury Lord Thalalas."
Jan swings around to face him on a barstool that she had definitely not just jumped on for her introduction.

"Although if you're here with us....well then I'd hate to see the other guy. Perhaps I should buy you a drink?"

Remmington offers her a polite bow and smiles. "Thank you. I will take you up on that offer Jan. I went on some big game hunting. Helped killed a couple of monoliths. I hope that you have been well since last we spoke."

"A couple of monoliths?"
She raises her eyebrows
"The giant murder beast ones? With the 'raaargh' and all?....That's impressive, definitely deserving of a drink."
She flashes a couple fingers at the bartender and indicates herself and the Sith.

"Oh I did some pest control in the sewers but it went well enough, otherwise I've just been following the politics closely and managing some Czerka logistics, all very staid."

Remmingtom nods in thanks and accepts the drink. "Something like that. There were about 7 of us. Though 1 or 2 were more of support. The creatures were about 15 metres for the small one and 20 metres for the big one. Also, no one mentioned that these things can shoot mouth beams. Thanks."

"Pest control in the sewers? What kind of pests are we talking about?" He asks. "How commendable of you to continue to work hard and still help out with that."

"Mouth beams? Oh that's news to me....I wonder if that can be reproduced in a controlled environment."

She accepts the drinks from the bar and hands one to Remmington

"Oh, the seditious kind of pets, all sorts of nasty people getting up to terrible things. We had to make sure it was under control."

Remmington accepts the drink. "I cannot say for sure. I am sure that Imperial scientists will be studying that. My thanks Jan, cheers." He offers up a his glass for a tap before taking a sip.

"Ah, that is good to hear. So there were a number of you cleaning up the sewers. I hope there was nothing too dangerous down there?" He asks.

She clinks her glass and has a long sip

"Well there was supposedly a ruthless killer but he...was dealt with in short order, the perils of being within 5 feet of an angry Sith with a lightsaber. Really the whole mission was over before we knew it, my favourite kind of mission."

"A bunch of angry Sith?" Remmington sips his drink again. "I am glad that things worked out so well for you. Though it makes me wonder what kind of killer would have a bunch of Sith hunting them down."

Placing a hand over her heart
"The very thought of someone not working for the good of the Empire....well, I was shocked to say the least. Just imagine the chaos if such thoughts were left unchecked!"

Remmington nods and closes his eyes. "That is unfortunate that such people creep about like annoying insects. I am glad that you are safe and helped serve the Empire."

He takes another sip and looks over to Jan with a smile. "So what are you going to do now? Business as usual with some side jobs hunting dissidents?"

she indicates the casino
“Pleasure. It’s enoigh to keep one quite busy, and I’m sure something diverting will turn up in the days ahead. What if yourself? No more Monolith hunting in the near future?”

Remmington smiles. "I am just trying to enjoy the resort as much as I can.

If you have some free time I would like to see you again. I saw you on the beach before but it looked like you were working."

“Oh..... something like that. Anthropological research necessitating close but discrete observation and sampling. It’s been quite successful if I do say so myself....”

Remmington chuckles a bit and takes a sip from his drink. "Perhaps but it doesn't mean that I am not going to try." He smirks.

“Oh of course, of course. It must be easy with access to the beach, obviously as a commoner I cannot seek refuge on those black sands or feel the warmth of its waters.”

Remmington taps the bar. "Oh that is right. I forgot that it is not accessible for everyone. Well if you want I can invite you in if you want to try out the beach."

"That's very generous of you my lord, the beach being somewhere I have definitely not been or broken into at any time. But if I get in through someone else's largesse....I just feel that it might be slightly spoiled for me. As a Sith I'm sure you understand the difference between something given and something taken.

If someone barred you from the beach I'm sure you would seize it!"
