[Day 1 - EE] The Malgus Identity (Low Ziost Orbit)

Darth Malgus waited on his command cruiser having discretely sent word to those specialists and Sith he felt could aid him in a task that was imperative for the Empire. Below he could see much of the southern hemisphere of Ziost and countless shuttles going to and from the planet.

At his side his slave and lover waited patiently, her lekku moving anxiously as she recognized the dark mood brewing in Malgus.

OOC: Open to any who want to hang out with Malgus.

Few could match the devotion to the Empire that brewed within the heart of the Steel Valkyrie. Meanwhile, surely, earning the favor of an influential Sith does not hurt matters. At least, the very least, this endeavor was worth the trip to his cruiser to ascertain greater details on the task at hand.

Dressed in her combat armor, a sleek robe covering it and her lightsaber firmly attached at her hip the Serasai walked in proudly. Accompanied by Weaver on the trip.

Sylvain was one of the first to arrive to the gathering. He had spent much of the day running around attempting to make connections with individuals who would possibly be helpful in his own plans, but as Malgus' summons came to him he knew that he needed to cooperate in any way he could if he hoped to draw on Malgus' support in the days ahead.

He was surprised to see his fiance already present but took in in stride as he nodded a greeting to her before gathering around Malgus.

Tyr stood attentively near the wall, watching those who arrived with studied interest. His ears and nose twitched occasionally, ever alert to his Master's mood, his smallest actions, his command.

She arrived shortly after Sylvain, she smoothed out her clothes and then approached Malgus and company with a determined look.

Tyr had seen this one and knew she was at least an ally of Darth Malgus.

Now why was he here? The next to appear at the gathering was Lord Rath. Darth Vengean's favoured apprentice had no previous association with Malgus, but had heard much of the man's endeavours and accomplishments. The request for his presence had been intriguing.

He nodded a greeting to Serasi and Torsin as he approached. Perhaps it was just the armour but he seemed even bigger than the last time they had met. A human in an Imperial Navy uniform accompanied him.

Having already had a bit of excitement for the day Jaheem went to where Darth Malgus was waiting and noticed a small crowd was beginning to gather around the war hero. Jeheem respected the sith and his accomplishments greatly, there are few greater heroes of the Empire. Everyone seemed to be waiting so Jaheem found a spot and decided to wait as well.

Darth Malgus spoke, “The Empire stands at the precipice of disaster and our Dark Council is too embroiled with their games and the whims of our Immortal Emperor to properly protect the people.”

“We are Sith, we are Imperial, but there can be no Empire if we do not keep the people appeased and safe… to that end I have pledged my forces to combating an insidious threat that is threatening the Empire and the ambitions of the Emperor. We will do what the Dark Council seems incapable or unwilling to do.”

His deep gravelly voice finished, “We will sever the head of the Children of the Eagle.”

“This attack by his people,” he said as images of the attack come up on the holo, “must be answered with blood and fire. You represent some of the best and brightest agents of the Empire and I am confident that we will eradicate his taint from our Empire.”

Darth Malgus said, “We stand as the bulwark and we shall not fail.”

OOC: This will unlock a new option in Mayhem events, giving players three options Support the Eagle, Support the Empire, or Support Malgus efforts in his name. Taking Malgus support will grant a boost die to a single roll in a Mayhem event and also earn the player 1500 credits. This will be posted to rules before Day 2.

It will also allow a character to bypass the optional portion to find the Mayhem but only if they support Darth Malgus.

Tyr lowered himself to one knee before his Master and bowed his head, "I am yours to command."

“You have yet to disappoint me, Tyr. I expect that trend to continue,” Malgus commanded.

“Rise.”

Sylvain similarly stepped forward and knelt on one knee, "However I can serve the Empire and its interests, I will until my dying breath."

Xyll was late; but not overly so. She had heard of this... Malgus. She had heard of whispers, that he was seeking support for something. She had other things on her mind; many avenues of interest vying for her attention... but there was still time and room to add more. If indeed he would offer something worth pursuing.

She arrived just as he was making his speech. Dark red robed, white haired, she stood toward the back. Listening. Then she saw others prostrate themselves before him. Fools. How were they to earn respect when they did such a thing umprompted? Xyll instead, simply stood there, gears in her mind moving, until they stopped and she uttered a question.

"What could cause the council to ignore this threat?"

“Distractions that keep them focused on hoarding power and playing the games of petty politics,” he countered.

“When they fail to act as they should it falls to us to safeguard the Empire.”

Jo'ren listened to Malgus' offer and watched the responses. He smiled inwardly at the little Q&A and gave Ashley a look. Eventually he nodded before saying a little gruffly: "'Bout time someone stepped up."

It could be so, it could be something else. Xyll did not presume matters were so clear-cut despite her own misgivings on the politics of the council. Regardless. She had heard words of prophecy, resonating with the words heard here tonight. It was enough. Enough to keep her interest.

"Then," she asked, with a smile, "when do we strike?"

“Find me the Eagle, and we will strike with the full fury of the Sith and Empire. We will not strike to end his threat but all future threats that even consider an act of sedition or treachery,” he said looking down at the woman.

Jaheem did not bow, he did not kneel or ask questions as others here did. He liked what he heard though, Malgus' words echoed much of his own thought. Besides The Eagle was something he was already hunting due to his work and Malgus seems to want to do what was right and Jaheem couldn't say the same for every member of the council.

He locked eyes with the mighty sith and simply nodded to him as way of giving his support.

The Lieuteant was surprised to have been sent a notice to the cruiser. Of course he had made sure that he had let the Good Colonel know. Fully armored, his listened intently, standing at attention as the 'briefing' commenced.

Stopping terrorists and threats to the Empire always rated highly with him.

"Should the need arise," she said, breaking her silence. "I shall always answer the call to safeguard the Empire. You may, in this fashion, rely upon the Steel Valkyrie to aid in this endeavor."

When commanded, Tyr got to his feet, rolling his shoulders as he straightened. If he was surprised by Sylvain’s display of deference, he did not show it as he resumed his studies of the guests.
