Description: This was supposed to be just another party but at the last minute Vowrawn decided it would be a sexy Xenos masquerade Ball in honor of his new painting by an unknown artist. The theme is be a sexy xenos or just be a xenos… or just show up and don’t be a jerk. If you do be a jerk be a sexy jerk.

But seriously don’t be a jerk, it’s his birthday… or not his birthday? Vowrawn won’t tell you but he will hold it against you if you don’t remember his birthday.

Rules:

To be or not to Be

The player has to decide if they will portray a xenos or not, and if you are a dirty xenos, well shame on you, but you still should dress up or don’t.

Players that choose not to dress up may make a Cool check at Hard to show that they are above such things and if successful will earn 5 Influence. That is the best you can do if you do not dress up. You are done if you choose this option otherwise press on.

The Costume

The player is assumed to have put together an ensemble to resemble a known alien species or something exotic and custom, either option is valid. The player needs to present them self as a dirty xenos, this can be done with a Deception check at Hard for 5 Influence or Daunting for 10 Influence.

Strike a Pose

The highlight of the night is the Walk of Shame, where the guests are able to strut their shameful xenos costumes before the audience with style and attitude. This is a Cool or Coordination check at Hard with a setback due to the drunken revelry even if you are sober the other guests are not! If a character is daring they can add acrobatic flair to their walk and this is a Coordination check at Daunting with a setback due to drunken antics and if successful gain 10 Influence; choose one or the other option.

Success here grants 5 Influence.

Hail to the Queen (Optional)

Vowrawn is dressed as the Queen of the Massassi and sits on a throne of well-oiled and muscled slaves. He gives the pronouncements and he is fabulous. Every queen needs supplicants and a player can offer the Queen their devotion and fealty, this is not necessary, or is it totally necessary.

A wrathful Queen is not to be tested.

[Jun-Tsu Farro]

Parties were a necessary evil, but one Jun-Tsu had come to terms with. She stood among the throng in her Korrizian attire. Let others debase themselves in the name of a good time. The witch had more important matters on her mind. She cast a look out across the party and where here veiled gaze landed heads turned away. They might have felt she was not in the spirit of things, but not a soul would dare broach the subject. Her stoic expression and dismissive demeanor showed that she was in no mood for such banal chatter.

Or perhaps they just thought she was a Miraluka and thought her costume innovative if not overly elaborate.

Holding up her bony fingers "Fion, firstly, that's sexiest. Secondly, it's probably speciest. Thirdly, it's demeaning to myself and to Czerka and fourthly....fourthly it's setting a bad example to N'Nzi who is young and impressionable, she's probably never ever seen a Twi'lek objectified like that."
Her intern looks over from her datapad and hurriedly closes a few tabs "No man, quite right, I am completely innocent regarding such matters."

Jan nods sharply
"See? We're not doing it, no room for discussion, case closed....fin."




Two hours later Jan steps into the ball dressed as a sexy Twi'elk

Ilar's costume wasn't fancy, it was a little simple in fact, but a lot of his effort was spent in hiding his lekku. He hoped it would be well received however, and it was at least not ridiculed.

Attempting to strut down the catwalk was difficult, and not as successful as he would have liked, but he found himself before the massassi queen and bent a knee.

A masquerade ball.... What next? Well, at least he could get some advice from Vair'ea about how to dress like a Zenos. Not that it was likely to help.

Still he managed to dress up like a 'sexy' chiss, not that the Doctor's bony chest had much in the way of sex appeal.

Striking a daring pose was the harder part, especially with all the drunks, and mostly he ended up looking ridiculous. Though someone did appreciate the effort enough to buy him a drink.

[Shelzais Sek]

A "Zeltron" sashayed into the ballroom clad in, well, basically glorified lingerie topped with some jewelry--this was supposed to be the fun kind of party, after all!--with a beehive-styled blue wig, skin slightly lightened to a pinker tone, and a jeweled domino mask hiding the facial ridges mere makeup couldn't cover.

The costume worked remarkably well, insofar as it played to Shelzais's natural advantages (by which, she would have cheerfully explained, she mostly meant T & A & a near-total lack of physical modesty--"Really, I should have been born a Zeltron," she'd mused to herself as she applied the last touches to her lipstick, "...somewhere else, far away").

She'd later blame an anonymous drunken reveler for the misstep and subsequent near-miss with a serious wardrobe malfunction she'd suffered on the impromptu catwalk/receiving line, though it should be noted she'd had a few glasses herself by then.

Reaching the front of the ballroom, she fell giggling to her knees in front of the living 'throne.' "My queen!" she half purred, half chortled. "May you live a thousand years and all that. Hm, that sounds dreadfully boring, actually... but I'm sure you'll find ways to entertain yourself."

A dark-haired Zygerrian came walking into the ballroom with his Azure-colored assistant. The make-up that she had helped him put on made him look impossibly... Slaverish. He caught the eye of a great many member of high society as he and his aide toured around the room.

When it came for his time to make his pose, his ability to mimic the movements and demeanor of a Zygerrian showed through. It was the perfect image of a dour Zygerrian in the Empire with impressive sith armor and military commendations to match it.

Having been Vowrawn's apprentice since she left the Academy, this was hardly her first time at the rodeo, so to speak. She was well-accustomed to her master's antics, and frankly? She enjoyed them.

Life needed silly and entertaining stuff like this. Even more so during such stressful times.

While the costume at its core was a skirt, a tiny top, and a hoodie, what made it so fabulously camp was that it was made of luxurious brown fur, and was fashioned to look like a wookie's coat. If a wookie had shaved themselves in interesting style, and also wore knee-high boots with heels, trimmed with even more fur.

Moving through the party, the sexy-wookie occassionally made growls and grr-sounds. Her experience with these kind of parties serving to her benefit again, as she skillfully avoided any drunken accidents (from herself or others), and she even put on a little show before the 'Massassi Queen'.

"Oh grrreat queen, Rahwrsha brrrings you a gift, befitting the beautiful queen!" 'Rahwrsha' presented Queen Vowrawn with a gaudy box, and inside was a polished mirror that would reflect his/her face once the box was opened. "A vision of purrrrfection and beauty!"

Xyll's costume was insufficient; and her walk was that of someone who just didn't seem to care about this sort of thing. What kind of an alien was she even trying to depict? Nobody really knew.

Someone snickered. She glared at him and put a stop to that. She might have been dressing up as some non-descript alien, but she was still the goddamn Witness, and she swore; if another person snickered at her she would end this party right here and now.

Then finally she was before Vowrawn. Ugh, this whole charade was starting to piss her off. She gave a little half-hearted curtsy.

"Your majesty," she said, similarly half-heartedly. "I stand ready to smite your enemies. Please let me smite someone."

Lucinia made a certain study of xeno species. But this study was almost entirely academic. After all, what need did a Sith have for the art or culture of other groups. Or, most appallingly of all... their sexiness?

And so, twi'lek it was. Lucinia knew that much, at least.

The costume was fairly good. In lieu of a dancing outfit she would never wear, she selecting a swimsuit, in a somewhat more modern and daring style than she'd worn at the beach. Prosthetic lekku were surprisingly easy to come by; Lucinia chose not to think about the fact that they were sold in a shop full of rather risque gear. And rather a lot of blue body paint. When applied to Lucinia, it was more of a pale blue body paint, the Sith noble's natural pallor showing through. That might have made the costume less viable, but when a Sith declared that she was a twi'lek, people tended to go along with it.

And despite her outfit, there was no dampening her regal manor. No doubting that she was a Sith. Even when...

"Wooo!" Some other scantily-clad twi'lek yelled. Lucinia managed not to recoil as the other woman came up to embrace her. "Great costume! Get a snap with me!"

"And me!" Called another. And another.

In a few moments, Lucinia stood, a calm spot in the eye of the storm. A storm of fake twi'leks and selfies. It might have ruined her strut, but perhaps her unflappable calm would impress...

If the world was about to end you might as well go out in style. So Lord Rath rocked up to Vowrawn's party in a spectacular, outrageous, hideously alien yet undeniably sexy Gungan costume.

Floppy ears swung around his head. Bulging eyes on stalks were attached on a strap and prosthetics were used to bulk up his head. He was the best-built, best-looking Gungan ever to grace the galaxy.

Striking a pose he added a few backflips to his routine, plus a front flip, and an amusing staggering dance. He even used the other party goers as part of his pursuing routine.

Approaching the Queen he took a floppy bow. "Meesa so fuckin' happy to be here your majesty."

He makes his way down the catwalk and strikes a pose. Showing off those ass-ets. At the end he pays reverence to the queen through song and dance.

Despite how unseemly the event was to her, Dayana made an appearance. She deemed it fit to please Darth Vowrawn with her presence. After all, it would be an insult not to attend.

She also believed that it would be an insult to not partake in the ball's theme. Her choice ended up being one of the miralians, complete with tattoos. Of course, she had to wear a hooded veil over her eye sockets.

With that in mind, Dayana was quite withdrawn. At the very least, she did not seem to embarrass herself either.
