[EA3 - Xal's Lab] Not Doing a Sing-A-Long Blog

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Genetic Research and Bio-Modification huh?" Remmington says thoughtfully.

"Are they not doing something like that with the Massassi here? Or were those illegals ones being done?'

[Xal Kimlya]

"There is a project." he confirmed. "I am involved in that."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Oh excellent. If I may ask, how is that coming along?" Remmington switches gears.

"Do you wish for any assistance with that?" He asks.

[Xal Kimlya]

"I've just been brought into it, to be honest." he replied. "I'm not sure what assistance I need yet, but I'll keep you in mind. Do you have any particular ideas of how to enhance the massarri?"

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington thinks for a moment. "Well my go to would be cybernetics. The Massassi are already strong but I guess they can use some improvements to their intelligence. I am not sure if it is better and more efficient to instill discipline into them via genetic manipulation or just good old fashioned training."

[Xal Kimlya]

He nodded. "Improving their cognitive and reasoning abilities is a part of the overall goal, to integrate them more fully."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Of course we do want to keep them obedient too. Nothing worse than a wild angry dog." Remmington comments as he thinks about the field maneuvers yesterday.

[Xal Kimlya]

"Yes." he agreed. "There's a balance that needs to be found."

[Remmington Thalalas]

"That may be tricky. They follow their queen. Who I believe is a pretty powerful Force user from what I have heard. So it will be difficult to truly make them subservient to the Empire.

Though I suppose their elevated race status may give them some incentive to stay loyal to the Empire." Remmington comments. While he does find that a little strange he shrugs. Stranger things have happened.

[Xal Kimlya]

"I believe she is supportive of the project, though I haven't had any direct interaction with any massassi, yet." he explained.

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "Well I guess that is good enough for now. When results are seen and analyzed you may have a better idea on where to direct your attention to next."

He ponders something from his own experience. "Do you have any idea how they do their Force training? I believe before they used some sort of shamanistic rituals. Has that changed?"

[Xal Kimlya]

"I really don't know." he shook his head. "I would be interested in learning more of such things, though."

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington nods. "I encountered a Force Sensitive one back when we first brought the Massassi under us. That one had considerable power and could throw large trees around with Force without much problem."

[Xal Kimlya]

"Formidible. Do you know where that one is now?"

[Remmington Thalalas]

Remmington shakes his head. "Unfortunately I do not. Probably still on Yavin IV guarding a holy spot for the Massassi. I believe that the Queen is still the most powerful Force Sensitive of that race."
