Remmington Thalalas wrote:"I prefer to just get that someone to allow me in." Remmington grins. "Though I understand wanting to earn things for yourself."
Remmington Thalalas wrote:"Oh? I was not aware that Czerka has a file on me. Or do you mean for yourself?" Remmington replies with a smile. He really hopes that Czerka does not have a file on him.
He takes another sip of his drink. "I am not surprised that you have not heard much about me. I was in the same graduating class as Lord Mordax, Lord Tenebrous, Lord Bellious, the Steel Vakryie, Lord Jo'Ren Rath and Lord Zeno Deathwright. With all those powerhouse names it is easy to completely miss me. I aid in lightsaber training at Korriban Academy still. I also enjoy repairing and tinkering with machines, ships, and weaponry."
He looks back to her after his own background reveal. "What about yourself Jan? What can you tell me about you?"
Remmington Thalalas wrote:Remmington nods. "I know very much how distinctive those names are."
He smiles her her antics. "I am glad that you are enjoying your current position. I guess that the military was not for you? Those are some pretty luxurious couches if you can sink into them like a sarlaac pit. You certainly have some refined tastes."
Remmington Thalalas wrote:Remmington cracks a grin. "Nothing wrong with that. I'd say you earned it. You only live once so may as well enjoy your life right?"
Remmington Thalalas wrote:"Thank you for saying so Jan. Please just call me Rem, Remmy, whatever you like. Granted I seem to party a little too hard sometimes." Remmington jests as he indicates his broken arm.
"Granted. It probably pumps the adrenaline more than a speeder race." He returns the wink.
Remmington Thalalas wrote:"Well I admit that I have not been in an actual speeder race myself. What kind of thrills have you experienced? Any you care to share?" Rem asks.
Remmington Thalalas wrote:"Hmm... you mean aside from the big game hunting that I just did?" Remmington asks for clarification.
"I say that it is a toss up between the time I was thrown off a speeder by some torrential weather and falling off a cliff into a raging river. Then having to walk all the way back up the cliff and upstream only to find that the speeder was completely trashed.
Or..." Dramatic pause.
"Being paradropped from the atmosphere and then having to open my parachute at low altitude. Then try to land myself without crashing into gigantic trees. Followed by having to fight off hordes of primitive savages immediately after." He continues and then thinks about that.
"Oh wait... you are probably asking me about a fun thrill. In that case, probably leading a Hutt Ball team on Nar Shaddaa for a brief period of time." True story.
Remmington Thalalas wrote:Remmington chuckles. "Well they are all stories and that is a lot of questions. So maybe ask me which one you want to hear about the most first?"
Remmington Thalalas wrote:Remmington smiles as he reminisces about that brief time. "Well this was about 4 years ago on Nar Shaddaa when the Empire and Republic were sitting down for peace talks. I was sent out to help out with the negotiations. Along the way, I created a Huttball team with a diverse cast of members. We had Sith, Republic military, a Mandalorian, and a few others. I named the team Valkyrie. We were highly successful and had an undefeated record for a short stint.
Of course like anything involved in Hutt space, the team quickly fell under the thumb of Hutt corruption. We had to throw an important game. Of course we made it so obvious that the match was rigged that it caused the Hutts to rethink that as the betting took a major dive and they loss a lot of money from that. Unfortunately the team disbanded shortly after that. So it was very brief but I highly enjoyed it.
I was even thinking of marketing a swim suit calendar of the team to sell as merchandise."
Remmington Thalalas wrote:"Well the diverse cast of team members was also good PR and got us a lot of notice as you can imagine. Everyone likes glory and credits sometimes. Or at least many people do. The Republic side even felt inclined to have a single exhibition game with an all Jedi team. I guess to showcase their power to the Empire and anyone else who cared. I could imagine Hutt Ball becoming some kind of proxy war if things continued on that vein." Remmington comments.
To her last question he smiles. "Actually..." Then he leans in to whisper something to her. "... this is just between you and I but I hear that the Empire is considering the formation of an Imperial League of Hutt Ball."
