[Day 8 - MA] What are Yuon About?

[Dapper Dog]

Yuon Par was having a lovely tea, it had been a busy morning of meetings but now she had a moment to relax until an aide tried to stab her in the eye with a letter opener. Luckily she was able to disable the crazed assistant but it soon became apparent. That this was not an isolated incident as the city erupted into chaos with orbital bombardment and soldiers firing indiscriminately at everyone in the streets…

If that was not weird enough, she was fighting back to back with Lana Beniko a Sith… where Lana was ruthless, Yuon was tactful and made sure to not leave any lasting harm preferring to disable her enemies than outright kill them as the younger Sith did.

OOC: Possible combat thread, up to three players; aid the Jedi or use this moment of chaos to end them and probably throw the a massive wrench in the peace process!

Sylvain and Nasari walked arduously through the chaos taking place in the Embassy. Sylvain remembered the tale of Naga Sadow... it wasn't the infighting that destroyed the last Empire... It was the Republic taking advantage of the infighting and eradicating the weakened Empire of Naga Sadow.

The peace... was now a necessary means of survival for a crippled Empire... The Republic could not be allowed to destroy them this time... no matter who came out on top of this bloodfest.

OOC: Sylvain and Nasari will be supporting the Jedi survival and trying to keep the Peace Treaty going for the time being.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala did not know what was going on, not truly anyway. Still, she perceived it was her duty to preserve as much of the Empire and its options as she was able until the struggle was over. If the ruling party wished to deal with the ambassador harshly in the aftermath, that was for later. In the mean time, she would do what she could to ensure that foreign diplomats were not harmed by the sectarian violence.

Defending the peace treaty for the time being

[Lt. Tyber Rook]

There was Chaos in the streets. Even as the rage clouded his eyes, the Mandalorian. He rocketed to the Embassy. His armor gleaming brightly, thrusters at combat speed.

He floated above the chaos, his Quicktrigger already drawn.

Eyes narrowed, looking to fight back against disorder.

Ooc: will be aiding the Jedi to keep the peace. There are laws about diplomats as guests.

[Dapper Dog]

The embassy was under siege and out front was a woman killing pretty much anyone she liked before kicking one of the mind-controlled aides through transparent doors into the lobby where the Jedi and Sith waited. She smiled devilishly and said, “I really don’t know what is going on but I smell Jedi… and that smells like a good time.”

More of the thralls started to pour in as she tapped her chin, “What to do?”

Lana Beniko shouted, “Are you insane, we don’t have time for this?”

Yuon was silent her green-lit lightsaber facing downward.

Lord Zhorrid shrugged, “Oh I am not crazy. Just bored.”

Sylvain walked forward with his apprentice at his side, "Find some other way to entertain yourself. There are much better catches to be found all throughout the system."

His apprentice (if the GM allows it) immediately took a defensive posture.

One pip to activate the power and one to do Strength bonus. Commit one dice to maintain the effect. And commit one to decrease Force pips produced by Zhorrid by 1 when doing a force check.

She puts her lightsaber at his apprentice’s throat since they are acting against her, “I will gut your alien scum if they continue.”

It is close enough to blister the skin.

“You act against a Sith Lord, daughter of Darth Jadus,” she hissed.

OOC: If they activate the power they gets a throat full of lightsaber.

Sylvain held a hand up to Nasari for a moment telling her to refrain for now.

"And I too am a Sith Lord, as is Lady Beniko. Acting against the interests of the Empire, no matter who your father is, is not an acceptable pass-time."

OOC: Nasari won't activate the ability and preferably we won't be in engaged range with Zhorrid whilst speaking.

Rotating her hands so her palms were face up and very clearly empty, Hala backed away slightly to leave room between herself and the exposed lightsaber as well as the trio of Sith.

"My lord, as Lord Mordrax said.... surely there are better targets for your amusement at the moment? You have a whole planet to choose from, with anything from freshly trained apprentices trying to channel the fear of the moment to the highest members of the Dark Council. What makes the ambassador so appealing when you have so much choice?"

“You a Lord… well, so what is the plan,” she offered lowering her weapon.

“Do we slaughter everyone, or just some of them?” she said gesturing to the approaching mind controlled citizens.

"Colonel Hala Moraal," she responded with crisp, military annunciation. She dipped her head respectfully after giving her name.

"For now? We take your slaughtering proclivities and put them to use on any who would threaten Lady Beniko or her charge." He replied after Colonel Moraal responded.

[Lt. Tyber Rook]

Landing just behind the Colonel, the Mandalorian cut off his pack. His eyes narrowed, looking over the scene. Fear and Chaos every where. His hand shook as he gripped his blaster tightly.

The Colonel... protect... the Colonel... Protect Hala... His mind raced, conflict raging in his clouded mind.

[Dapper Dog]

"For now? We take your slaughtering proclivities and put them to use on any who would threaten Lady Beniko or her charge." He replied after Colonel Moraal responded.

“Fine… the Jedi can survive another day… What if we just take an arm?” she mused.

Zhorrid shrugged and said, “This does not mean we are friends, Jedi.”


“Thank you, my Lord, those that have not succumbed to whatever madness are sheltered in the room behind us… I suggest we make this our line and hold against these masses. Is this some plot by the Eagle?” she said though her words don’t seem serious as she looked at the approaching red eyes of the mass controlled civilians.


Yuon repleid calmly, “No… this is the power of the Dark Side.”

OOC: The combat will begin with five groups of minions at Short range, at the start of each round, after the first, two more minion groups will join them and the players have to try and last for five rounds, or end a round where there are no minion groups within short range or closer.

They have cover available and should make Cool checks for initiative.

The most pressing threat at least diffused, Hala turned to face the oncoming press of thralls.

A group of Imperial Soldiers take aim at Tyber and shoot, missing the Mandalorian and shredding the cover he was using exposing the hardened soldier.

Destiny Point spent for Deus Ex Item Shopping earlier

With the events of the Eagle, Tyber had learned the importance of being prepared. He had luckily requisitioned a brace of stun grenades from the armory for himself. (300 paid for four stun grenades).

Breathing in deeply, he focused, aiming at a pair of the oncoming mind controlled beings. His armor aiding him in quickly accessing a grenade, he allowed hinself time to line up the perfect pitch. He wound up, throwing the grenade with all his force.

It exploded into one of the mind controlled soldiers, blue energy arcing through them as it exploded. The distraction certainly opened up an opportunity for soemone else

Another group of rabble rush towards Nasari with knives and clubs and pipes and anything they could get their hands on but they are unable to do anything of significant harm to the apprentice!

The stun grenade took out the soldiers!
