Hala poked her head out from behind her pillar and tuned the amplifiers within her uniform for maximum effect.

"Troopers, halt. You are ordered to stand down. I am Colonel Hala Moraal, assigned to local security and counterintelligence. You will cease your assault and comply. Any who fail to comply will be met with lethal force. Stand down, I repeat, stand down. Sector control, I need a security lockout in the embassy. Floor two, junction 12. Seal that side passage and flush it with riot gas!"

The mob is quickly dispersed and Yuon uses the brief moment to seal the Embassy with a lock-down.

There is silence for a moment but when it becomes obvious that the mob won’t get in Zhorrid said, “Well I suppose you can fight after all.”

OOC: That was easier than expected, good job.

“We are the Empire.” He replied simply with a nod to his comrades.

[Dapper Dog]

“Excuse my rude language but what in the heck is going on?” Yuon asked looking at the Sith for answers.

[Sylvain Torsin]

“There is currently a coup taking place. Darth Malgus challenges the Emperor. The Dark Council fights one another and the Emperor has driven a sizable portion of the populace mad with self-destructive rage. It would be best for the ambassador to wait this out in the most secure place possible.”

[Dapper Dog]

Yuon gave a look of concern, “Why would… we need to find a way to help these people!”

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"I have been attempting to coordinate a response with security forces, using less than lethal measure when possible but I do not have a better solution for the root cause. My apologies Am assador."

[Sylvain Torsin]

“I’m not sure how we accomplish that ambassador, especially while maintaining your safety. We are discussing a planet-wide event. I don’t know of a means to sever the Emperor’s mind control over so many.”

[Lt. Tyber Rook]

"Riot supression gear. Nerve agent can be flooded from airspeeders with gas or even glop weapons." He spoke through the mechanIed vocoder of his helmet.

His skin felt itchy. Still not quite in control. Only the example of the Colonel, of Hala, kept him grounded.

It wasn't the Empire that stood against chaos. It was him, through her example.

[Dapper Dog]

Zhorrid laughed and said, “Who cares about these vermin, if they die, they die. But if you want to end them on a large scale there is a fail-safe civilian neutralization… something, something built into the People’s Tower. It was designed to pacify unruly masses… or kill them should cover the whole of the city at least.”


Lana added, “I do recall that, yes. But whole sale murder of millions for little gain is not a win. I think we could calibrate the pulse to at least overload the nervous system… it won’t be discriminate, but it should… mostly work.”

Zhorrid scoffed, “Saving these people is pointless.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

"It won't be pointless if war with the Republic were to ever break out again. No offense to the ambassador... but the last time a Sith Empire turned on itself the Republic fleet was not far behind. This is no culling of the weak in favor of the strong... it is indiscriminate waste on a massive scale." Sylvain replied.

"We should head for the controls of this fail-safe." Sylvain added.

[Dapper Dog]

“Your concern for these people is disgusting… and you call yourself Sith?” she said bitterly.

“All I hear is weakness.”

Lana chimed in, “There is a shuttle on the roof, we can use that to access the People’s Tower. Master Jedi, it would be best if you remained here.”

Yuon agreed still processing everything that had happened.

Sylvain let the comment go by unanswered. It was not the first time he was insulted for proper resource management, and it wouldn't be the last.

"Let's go." He said simply as he gave a nod of farewell to the Jedi.

[Col. Hala Moraal]

Hala fell in behind Lord Mordax and made her way to the shuttle.

"Jutrian, prep your kit. We may need your assistance," she said into her commlink.

[Lt. Tyber Rook]

"I will meet you topside." The blaster was quickly replaced into the integeated holster at his thigh. The thrusters of the jetpack kicked on, and he began to float.

"Colonel. Would you like a lift?"

[Col. Hala Moraal]

"Good thinking Rook. My lords, we will go ahead and prep the shuttle for departure," she nodded, falling out of step with Sylvain, Lana, and Zhorrid to move over to the bejetpacked trooper instead.

Sylvain walked quietly to the elevator with whoever was joining him and listened to the elevator music on the ride to the top.

[Lt. Tyber Rook]

"Hold on tight." There was a smile as the Colonel approached. His face red, he made sure she was secure, assisted by the strength enhancing systems of his armor.

Looking up, the Mandalorian and the Colonel rocketed off, heading to the shuttle.

[Dapper Dog]

Once on the roof Lana entered the shuttle and fired up the systems and made their way to the People’s Tower. She frowned and said, “Someone has locked down the landing pads… I will try and get you close but I won’t be able to land.”

Zhorrid smirked, “No Challenge is above a Sith.” She leapt down from the open bay and landed easily, dropping some fifteen meters with ease. She started hustling towards the main structure.

OOC: There is a line to drop down this reduces the difficulty by one so either a base difficulty of Average with Coordination or Athletics.
