[Day 8 - MA] Duel of the Fates

[Lord Jo'ren Rath]

Jo'ren had barely been able to get his saber up to block the force lightning before it was destroyed (3 strain, no damage, no crit). Then he got choked by the force and couldn't do anything. All had seemed lost.

Yet somehow they had prevailed. The force had been with them. The wave of dark side energy had rolled over him, burning his skin, but his armour and natural toughness saved him and he managed to stay on his feet.

Somehow he grabbed Dayana before she could fall to her doom, and the Emperor's lightsabers as they were hurled out of the explosion.

"Broke my fucking saber. That had sentimental value. Asshole."

Xyll managed to deflect some of the lightning sent her way before getting choked. That was bad enough, but then the dark side energy explosion came and... she got knocked the hell out.

1 wound taken from bind; crit taken comes up as 113 (after taking into consideration crit from lightning): temporarily lame. Cannot perform more than one maneuver a turn until healed.

takes 16 damage after soak from the dark side explosion, putting me at -8. No idea what despair does.

The spot where the Emperor stood is nothing but tattered robes… one lightsaber was flung into the city the other landed near Jo’ren but was a mangled mess leaving behind only really the crimson crystal, a red tinged krayt dragon pearl.

Beyond them they can see the transport with Servant Nine in the distance.

Vas-Tsu said, “Our part is done, it iz up to ze others now.”

As she finishes the words those still standing can see a visible electro-magnetic pulse move over the city emanating from the tower. Causing power and lights to go out across the city. Xyll's left eye is pale now, and essentially non-functional, perhaps she witnessed too much. [Despair]

[Jun-Tsu Farro]

Jun-Tsu reached down and lifted Vas-Tsu into her arms, "Zhen let uz go vind Auntie. Our vork iz done."

She ignored Remmington's questions simply set upon leaving the windy transport pad and walkway. A sense of sureality had settled over her as wisps of her jet black hair hung on the breeze. They had done it. They had managed the impossible for good or for ill. They had been the embodiment of the Dark Side, and gave a peace to the Force witch that could not be fully expressed. It rushed in like thousand sensations that made her body feel numb.

And so she set to leave with her small parcel in her arms. "I beliewe you dezerwe zome cake."

Throwing up her arms in a block to protect herself from the blast, Shaisha stumbled back against the overwhelming force of the explosion.

No idea what Despair will do now. A Crit maybe?

“You have doomed this Empire, perhaps it was doomed from the start,” Valkorian said.

“I should have abandoned this crumbling edifice long ago.”

"It's... over?" Shaisha said breathlessly as the explosion and it's after effects seemed to die down.

Had they really done it?

And then she heard the voice still. And she hoped it was just an echo, a lingering effect of him having been with her for so long..

Getting her bearings, she looked to her father, hoping he survived the explosion.

Scourge stood tall and said, “I did not foresee this.”

"Maybe it could have gone either way." The pulse spreading across the war-torn city was almost beautiful. He watched it a moment before settling Dayana's unconscious body on his shoulder and injecting himself with a stim. With a sigh he picked up the crystals and tucked them into his utility belt.

He gave Shaisha and the Wrath a long look before making sure the others could all move. Xyll was lifted up onto his other shoulder. "Looks like, yeah. Good work, now let's get out of here." He followed after Jun-Tsu.

So much unspoken they had to say... at least for her part, but now was not the time. The city would still be in complete chaos for a good while even without the Emperor's interference, as no doubt there would be those taking advantage of the situation to cause even more havoc.

"Yes," she gave a nod to Jo'ren, and looked back to the Wrath. "Let's go. This isn't the place to be now."

It still felt unbelievable, that they were all still alive...

[Remmington Thalalas]

"Not even any body parts left huh?" Remmington says and notes how some of the others are already leaving but others are severely hurt.

"Better get some of you to see a medic or something but first..." He goes over to the Imperial Guards to gather their weapons. Best not to leave lightsabers just laying around for anyone to grab. Then he feels out to the Force to find where the other saber of the Emperor's had gone.

After that he'll go check up on the injured.

The lightsaber is gone it's a miracle the one survived as for the Imperial Guars, you are all in terrible condition best to lick your wounds before some enterprising Sith decide to take advantage of your poor states.
