There Came a Tapping (Pre-Game Evening)

He nodded his head and replied, "Never."

[Dapper Dog]

She agreed and said, "What will you do with Darth Baras, he is doubtlessly aware you are on Ziost."

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "I will see to what degree he is interested in my presence here. Baras has normally sought the betterment of the Empire, and I would assume even moreso now that he occupies such a lofty position. There is part of me that hopes he will not hinder my work out of spite; he did leave me alive for some reason... If he is willing to communicate with me and help solve the crisis... Then wonderful. If he wishes to impede my progress, then I will have to find ways beyond him. Malgus and his daughter have been decent resources up until now, I plan to use whatever space is allotted to me through their good graces to find openings to accomplish my aims."

[Dapper Dog]

"You think you could make peace?" she said intrigued.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He chuckled through his nose, "If I knew that wasn't such a dirty word to you I'd say, yes. The kind of 'peace' which allows me to bear my resentment for him deep inside and push forward my own agenda? I can tolerate that for now. The one thing I did learn from my time with him is that patience can be beneficial. I don't assume I can pull the wookie-fur over his eyes; he is smarter than that. But if he serves the Empire today, then there is no need to throw my life away over something that I can resolve later with time."

[Dapper Dog]

“That sounds so very much like your father,” she said thoughtfully.

“He could be useful, for now.”

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "Hopefully I do not duplicate father's results concerning Baras... At least any time soon."

[Dapper Dog]

She said nothing at that instead just looking away.

[Sylvain Torsin]

Sylvain walked over to the window and looked down at the beaches populated only sparsely with wealthy residents of this apartment building. His silence matched hers for several moments before saying, "I do look forward to talking with you in person once you arrive..."

“We will speak soon and maybe then I will be better prepared to speak on things you really wish to know,” she said in a quiet thoughtful tone.

[Sylvain Torsin]

He nodded, "That would be lovely mother. Until then, I hope you enjoy your vacation. We and the wedding arrangements will be waiting for you."

[Dapper Dog]

The Holo ends with her waving.

Sylvain would spend a couple more minutes looking out the window until the droid came back into the room. He'd nod his thanks once again and then turn to exit the apartment and head back towards his ship.
