[D2 MM] She Blinded Me With Science

[Raela Ausar]

Raela Ausar suppressed a yawn as she finally arrived at the Training Center. It was the only place she knew that would have the facilities she needed to work. She held a case in one hand, containing the samples and data Sylvain had provided the other day.

She got ahold of the most handy person and simply said, "I am Raela Ausar, an Aspirant. I need to make use of your genetics and biology lab. Inform the proper authority of this."

[Dapper Dog]

They nod and show her to a lab where people are working on projects and turn and look at her and then stand once realizing she is Sith.

[Raela Ausar]

She marched in confidently, setting her work on a table. "I will be using this facility to research a cure for the plague. If anyone wishes to assist, I will accept. Otherwise, feel free to continue your work as long as it doesn't get in my way. Go about your business." She takes up a station, letting her release to return to what they were doing stand. For now, she had data to analyze to figure out where to start.

[Dapper Dog]

They nodded in unison but one of the scientists, remained standing. Looking at her badge it showed this was a novice researcher possibly even an intern. She asked, “Ma’am, Lord, may I ask what you are researching?”

[Raela Ausar]

She looked annoyed, frowning. She had literally... why was she being bothered with insipid questions? "As I just said, a cure for the plague. The one that's been hitting the Outer Rim?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Oh… I am sorry, would you need an assistant then?” she asked.

[Raela Ausar]

"It would help. There's a lot to do and a lot of information to sort through," she replied, nodding.

[Dapper Dog]

“I can get you setup with access to our archives… my Lord, and give you a basic run down of our procedures especially the emergency protocols,” she said nervously from within her clean suit.

[Raela Ausar]

She closed her eyes and let out a long breath. It was important for data integrity. "Fine, great. Can you make it relatively fast?"

[Dapper Dog]

“Of course,” she said nervously.

She produced a data pad and ran her through the basic procedures and the emergency steps and then said, “That is all I have, is there anything else you need?”

[Raela Ausar]

Raela went over the information, then double checked the emergency procedures. Not too abnormal from what she was used to. "Not in particular."

[Dapper Dog]

The woman back up and then and said meekly from within the clean suit, “Samples?”

[Raela Ausar]

"I have some. Properly contained. More are good. I need to go over the data first, so just have them ready," she sighed, looking annoyed. "Do you think I just gormlessly stumbled in here?"

[Dapper Dog]

Yes.

“Of course… of course not… would you like a clean suit at least?” she finished.

[Raela Ausar]

"The initial work doesn't require that level of precaution. Most of it won't. Is this a clean room that requires such? I had assumed, perhaps falsely, that your facility would mark its clean rooms like you're supposed to," she replied with false saccharine sweetness, eyes burning. "If you failed to, perhaps it needs restaffing to ensure such failures aren't repeated."

[Dapper Dog]

"Of course... I'll get those additional samples," she replied and departed.

[Raela Ausar]

She let out a long breath. "I'm too nice," she said, turning to her work.

[b]OOC:{/b] So what is the plan?

[Raela Ausar]

OOC: For now, going over the data that's available for the plague - virus or bacteria, scale, effects, stuff like that to make sure that she's not reinventing the wheel on this thing. Then she's going to test for any aspects of that they don't understand yet to make it easier to find the cure. Then she's going to start working on the cure itself, and possibly a vaccine to make sure it doesn't spread further.

If it's possible for the Force to guide her in this, she will also take advantage of that.
