"Curious indeed," she said. "Who might have the means to do such a thing? And more importantly, who might have motive?"

“Complete redaction could be accomplished by the Dark Council or direct servants of the Emperor,” she replied.

“I suppose the Emperor himself if he even cared of such things.”

She grimaced. "And here I am, supposedly now part of his entourage. Having a chat with him would be... interesting. If something I am not looking forward to. Would there be a way, you suppose, to narrow it down?"

"I would have to do research if I have the time and the inclination," she replied.

"Neither I have in any abundance."

Of course. Why should a historian have any interest in why the historical records had been erased?

"Then perhaps tell me where to start looking. Unless you'd have something in mind in exchange for assisting me." She started to consider something. "The girl in my vision, she spoke in many different voices. One stood out, but I didn't recognize it. It was a male's voice. Raspy. Saying, Loyalty unto death. It may simply have been nothing; but in my experience, the Force rarely speaks frivolously."

"Given the brutal displays of loyalty by the Emperor during the challenge... could be connected," she said in response.

"As for where to begin there are archives in the People's Tower, as Witness it should be simple to gain entry. My time is focused on politics, which I hate."

"As you have demonstrated. Why then seek a seat on the council? It will only force politics on you. Even my master can not fully transcend such things."

[Darth Acina]

“Because the Empire is tearing itself apart, Lord Nyx. We are a prime example instead of just asking me for my knowledge you implemented a foolish scheme for something that we have hashed out I only a few moments. Selfish one-upism is an extreme danger to the Empire,” she responded.

“On top of xenophobia, slavery, and simple lack of understanding that we destroy or deny ourselves power and resources because we follow out dated and simply foolish ideologies.”

"Well, you are not wrong I suppose," she said. "But such things are in the nature of not just the Sith, but all who are touched by the Dark Side. How then would you enact the changes you desire?"

[Darth Acina]

"I don't agree, there is nothing inherent in the Sith code that demands betrayal ad sheer savagery," she replied.

[Xyll Vanth]

"Not the Sith code, no. But the Dark Side inspires it. Again and again. You are a student of history, you must see the pattern."

[Darth Acina]

“I do see the pattern, and the mistakes that lead to it,” she replied.

“Perhaps it is folly but to sit back and believe there is nothing can be done is slave talk.”

"And to talk about idealistic notions without a pragmatic plan to enact, is much akin to Jedi talk. I am sympathetic of course. My old master was quite talented at betrayal herself, until it ended her and everything we'd worked for. And that story has been repeated countless times. One sees the harm it causes. But I do not see how you would change anything with so much weight stacked against you."

"I have a plan, just not keen to reveal it to you," she said with withering look.

"Of course, of course," she said, smiling. "Though you know, I'm sure that despite your distaste for it, it *would* require some manner of political maneuvering. And when it comes to such things, few would expect that two sith who had nearly killed each other at a *very public* party might secretly be working together."

She finished the last of her kaf.

"Well, food for thought, anyway."
