Day 5 - Early Morning - Leaving it to Chance (Expecting)

Early morning might seem an odd time for a little gambling, but Jan had always felt getting the blood pumping and the adrenlaine running was a fine way to prepare for a fight.

The casino staff had made her leave her rifle and shield in the coat room (quite rude) but she wasn't expecting a fight right here after all. She's started casually tossing dice on the lower levels inbetween sleepily ordering caffeine before making her way higher in the room and then onto one of the high rollers tables. Now she was enjoying some good natured banterwith a group of dishevelled and quite lubricated fellow gamblers who had clearly been at this all night.

Shaisha had a meeting with a contact, and much to her annoyance she had to haul ass all the way out to Varas Point. Thankfully it was in a good location, at least.

And so after the meeting with the informant, she knew she still had some time before she had to get back to New Adasta. It was time to hit the tables for some casual fun.

Like Jan, she found herself at a table where the rest seemed like they had been playing since last evening. "Well then, who is ready for another game?" she grinned at Jan and the others.

The rep's eyebrows wiggle furiously

"I still need to make all that money back dear, I couldn't possible dream of settling now."
Turning to the guest next to her
"I never settle you see."

Jan kept more of her attention on the Sith lord, as seemed the safest option really.

"Hmm..." she picked up the dice, for a moment studying Jan. "Your face is one I've seen around the past days..."

"It might be we have similar taste in events, I've been attending a few of the parties of the season."
Leaning right across the table and nearly toppling a stack of chips

Her Czerka corp pin glints brightly.

"Is that so?" she mused thoughtfully of what it meant that a Czerka representative was hanging out at Ziost at this time. "Lord Tenebrous, aspirant to the Dark Council. A pleasure."

She beams a too broad smile at the sith

"Business is pleasure, of course. The company is observing the Dark Council selection process, which has just been fascinating so far. Personally I'm helping out an old acquaintance later today....sewer duty. Thought I'd warm up a little here."

"My dossier? Oh my. Didn't think that was something of interest to Czerka. Do tell, what's it, besides positivity?" she smirked, as if giving the woman a chance to pitch her sale.

As if reciting from memory "A woman with a soldier's discipline, a socialite's charm, and a Sith's unabashed passion and power yadda yadda She is, by all accounts, a competent and dangerous woman..."

Spreading her arms
"Although they left out how very well you wear yourself Lord Tenebrous, very elegant I must say."

Explaining to some of the other gamblers

"Is that so?" she took a sip of her kaff. Not the usual drink of choice in a casino, but hey, it was early in the day still. And she didn't have that cyber-liver transplant yet that might make her drink on par with Vowrawn.

"Perhaps I already do have a voice on such things. Since you seem to be a clever girl, you probably know which members on the Council would be most interested in weapon contracting?"

"Oh I mean, I hear things....but really we just want to hear from the aspirants themselves....Lord Bellious has seemed quite positive on the idea of increasing existing weapons contracts, for instance."

Shaisha picked up her chips, done with the game, but she gestured for Jan to follow her.

"Oh yes, surprisingly positive."

"Merely being positive is something everyone can be though," she remarked as she found a table with a couple of chairs for them to sit down in.

"However, I have good connections that could set you up with meetings with those who would be most interested in exclusive rights to weapons."

She smiles before throwing herself on a chair and getting some serious lounge on.

"Exclusive rights for Czerka...."
Her dress seems to shiver with anticipation
"That is attractive, and of course it would be on top of our existing contracts?"

"A lot of that would depend on what Czerka would have to offer, no?" Shaisha looked over the rim of her cup at Jan, eyes intense behind the thick lashes.

Jan inspects her nails for a moment, twisting her long fingers
"Obviously the Sith Empire's internal politics are its own business, and we would never interfere directly by say....providing significant financia and support to the campaign of an aspirant? Obviously we couldn't do exactly that."
